The food at Bankok basil was really great. This was the first time I ordered Panang curry and it a really good choice. I also had mango with jasmine sticky rice which was delicious. Another amazing thing I had was noodles. What I didn't like about the place was ambience and the service. I felt the lady who was serving as waitress was bit arrogant. She could have used some politeness.
If you have food preferences like no meat, vegan, etc then avoid this place and save your time and karma!!! On multiple occasions, either the person taking the order screws up or the folks in the kitchen mess up. They don’t respect vegan and end up adding chicken or egg in the order. On multiple occasions, I had to drive all the way back from home to get it fixed. I have had it today and am done giving them the benefit of doubt every time! I am NEVER going back here!
Sooo expensive!! Just bought one dish, small pad Thai, bill was almost $20. This has gotten out of control. No wonder restaurants are struggling. Thank Biden for putting us into the worst inflation in 40+ years and it's destroying our economy. The rich are richer, the poor are poorer. Eating out is only for the rich and vaxx'ed.
We used to love this place. We come just for the person and the atmosphere most of the time. We went back after a long time. This would be like pur 10+ visit. Our order came with HUMNA HAIR in it. When we asked to replace the meal, the waiter got visually angry. No apology ,atleast for manners. Our meal was replaced. No utensils and paper towels provided. We had to go and ask. We had our toddler with us, one of us left outside, as soon as the child started getting impatient. WHILE the other person was still eating , the table was getting cleared with the food flying all over. And bill was practically thrown at the face. We left with a note to be little more friendly and left no tip as the service was super bad. And this waiter or owner or whomever came outside and told us we should not come back because out child was ill mannered and made a mess in the table. Did I say he was a 18m old AND we cleared most of his mess and kept everything away from his high chair. He was just eating a broccoli. AND told us that we should tell people not to come there. And showed a middle finger. That was like WOW really. For clearing a messy table??? If he is a new owner, he should not have bought this place and spoiled the place for lot of us. I would never go and will make sure nobody I know goes there. For someone who have been there before, cleanliness rating went to good from excellent as per WA food dept.
We were happy to find our new go to place for Thai. The crispy duck breast was phenomenal as was the pad Thai. The service was very attentive especially given how busy they were with what seemed to be a steady stream of take out orders as well as many diners.
The ambience is great. The place is clean and the service was fast. I order green curry. The food arrived fast. When the curry arrived The curry didn't have the nice aroma of basil, lime grass or the green chilli. The chicken was bland. The rice portion was small.Overall i don't recommend this place. It's not a bad place, but it's also not a great place. If you are in a hurry and you look for something to grab fast and you live close by you can stop by.If you are looking for a great tasting Thai food, you can skip this place.
This restaurant tastes very good Each meal were perfect I’d like to come again
Good food. Tried the mongolian beef and panang chicken curry. Lots of fresh veggies and good flavor but less protein.
Looking at all the positive reviews and suggestions, decided to order red curry and basil fried rice...they were ok... Fried rice was very oily and lacked flavour...red curry was the saviour..
Avocado curry, pretty authentic Thai food option with nice ambience
