A vegan review-This place was our main jam while we lived in Puyallup a few years back. Recently, we came back to visit family and decided to go here a few times. We called ahead and asked if they veganized some of their dishes. The woman on the phone was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what we meant and said that yes they could do that. We ordered the mango fried rice with tofu, drunken noodles with tofu, pad Thai and spring rolls. It was all perfect, delicious and just how we remembered. The second time, we weren’t so lucky. We ordered basically the same thing minus the pad Thai and specified vegan (which is even said on the receipt). We got it, didn’t check before we left (mistake) and as soon as we got back we noticed there was a lot of egg in both the rice and the noodles, which meant there was possibly fish sauce as well. My husband went back to show them, they apparently took both of the carry out containers. They came back with one of the old ones and one new one. They said there was egg in the noodles but not in the rice so they remade that one. There was clearly egg in both, and they fact that this was a hill they were willing to die on and not remake both of them makes me hesitant to go back in the future. The rice DID have egg in it and unfortunately no one else wanted to eat it so it went to waste. This makes me pretty sad since we used to go here ALL THE TIME when we lived here. Like 2-3 times a week.
I think the quality has gone way down in the past couple years. I placed a special order twice now due to allergies and diet preference and they got it wrong both times. Also the food is so much greasier now, and literally smothered in oil. We won't be going back. It use to be so good at one time.
This by far is the worst Thai restaurant I’ve tried in the Puyallup Area.I order a Pad Thai with beef and chose level 4 spicy. The noodles are undercooked and has an odd chewy texture at the same time, my food wasn’t spicy at all.My fiancée ordered the Massuman Curry with Chicken and it seems like their curry is Pre made and then frozen. The consistency of the curry was very watery and the Potato’s added were undercooked and hard.
Has the quality gone down? Portions are normally big but I guess they’re cutting cost by giving small portions, barely any noodles for an expensive food item. ?
Pad Woon Sen was absolutely delicious! Vegetables were cooked, but crispy... 3 stars had just the right amount of heat... I'm half way done and so full I have to force myself to stop. Looking forward to leftovers...
Ordered mango fried rice and all of the mangoes were old and rotten.
The panang curry here is SO good, the customer service is awesome and my kids love the chicken phad thai. A local family favorite. Thanks for being here!
We got the pad thai and pad see ew along with a few appetizers. The cook must’ve changed. Both dishes had no flavor and were super bland. Ingredients must be expensive now because they’re cutting back. Save your money.
Came in and waited for 15 minutes to be seated ( it was not busy at all inside)I asked a couple times so can someone please set us. After we were seated waited for another 25 minutes no one came up to us. Kept looking and ignoring us. Such a waste of time of a place
Had the yellow curry at a medium spice level. It was creamy and delicious. Service was quick and staff were friendly.
