Delicious food. Large portions like Anna Miller's, Denny's or Shari's. The parking was ample and the tables were clean and also ample. The menu features breakfast at any time of the day. The waffles are great and the omelette is delicious. The potatoes a also delicious but you must inform them if you want them more crispy. The fountain drinks are bottomless and the coffee is also great. There was no wait when we arrived and there are other places to try in this complex. If you want some Black Bear souvenirs, there is a shop at the entrance and a small offering of desserts right at the checkout counter. Large groups are also accepted but you may need to call ahead.

I went here a few years ago. The waiter watched me eat. And watched me read my book. The food was good. I married the waiter and we now have 3 kids and live in a neighborhood where the HOA is up my butt about the pin wheels that I put in my garden and how if I leave my trash can on my curb for too long I will get a fine. The bacon was cooked perfectly.
Ok food and service. The prime rib was 1/3 fat and I never got a single refill to my coffee. The waitress only stopped by my table once after my food came out. I'd expect this if it were busy, but I didn't even see signs of a recent rush. I love Black Bear Diners, so I was rather surprised by this experience.
The burger was huge and so good the food was pretty inexpensive and The accommodations were nice
We love Black Bear ! The staff has always been friendly and the food is great. I recommend the chicken fried steak and my fiancee loves the sweet cream pancakes. You'll be really full, but definitely get dessert for at home ?

I had the best nummiest Dinner my choice breakfast and Dinner mixed chicken fried steak with country eggs Benedict with the gravy over eggs and steak it was delicious so good and the staff very sweet and helpful ?
We had Black Bear Diner's prime rib for the first time on Valentine's day. They did a great job! So delicious! Really tender and yummy flavor! Best prime rib we've had in a long time!!John&Lori, Spanaway
I have looked at some of the good reviews and can't figure out what happened. My husband ordered a Reuben and I ordered a simple BLT. The toast on my BLT was burnt on the inside and out. My husband ate his sandwich while I was waiting for the waitress to come back. His sandwich was missing sauerkraut. When the waitress came back she apologized but by then it was over for me. Also over priced. Good grief!!
