I am from out of town and always look for good Mexican food when I visit new places. It wasn't hard to find in Port Orchard surprisingly enough! We came into La Palapa 2 days ago and we are back again today. Everything is good here from the chips and salsa to the margaritas! I've had the fish tacos both times because they do them up right! I would highly recommend La Palapa to anyone looking for quality Mexican food in Port Orchard!
Food was well presented, hot, and delicious. Our requested order modification was granted unhesitatingly. Not many other customers when we were there, so we chatted a bit with friendly waiter after our meal.

WOW this place is good. The portions are huge, and everything is very flavorful and not salty at all. I had a shrimp dish in a cream sauce with mushrooms, bell peppers and onions and it was incredible. Husband's carnitas were some of the best I've ever had - fatty and wet and not salty. Just excellent. Might have to make this my go-to place for Mexican food.
We haven't been here in a couple of years, so we thought we'd try it again.The food was delicious. Very generous portions. Friendly service.Well be back.
Vegetarians beware. Got the vegetarian burrito, ate a few bites of it before starting to feel extremely sick. Dissected the rest to find small chunks of meat throughout the rest. Into the trash it went and won't be back, thanks
I was really disappointed. I ordered my husband a fajita burrito with no beans extra onion and it was just stuffed with beans. Both my other orders had no sour cream or guacamole which really makes the meal for me. And I ordered and paid for extra guac and got none. Not a great first experience.
I went to La Palapa on a whim tonight. I was greeted warmly by the lady hostess. I sat near the bar and Alex was making drinks. I ordered a lime margarita on the rocks, top shelf. As Alex was making the drinks I noticed everything was made fresh, he even crushed the ice with a tool in his hands. One of the best margaritas I've had since moving from Texas to WA.Portion sizes were huge for dine in I ordered shrimp ceviche, 2 fish tacos in which I could only eat one.To go I ordered a burrito and taquitos. Again, portion size was HUGE!I'll be back. Remember to be patient, be kind, treat people with respect & tip well.Thanks for the great experience La Palapa!
I like this place a lot. Fast, good service and great food. The agua frescas are delicious, and the California burrito is tasty and filling. You can get the burrito wet or dry too.
We came from San Diego and searched for tasty Mexican foods in Port Orchard. We love this place❤️. The restaurant offered Free chips and salsa dips. We ordered Burrito and Fish taco. The burrito came in a considerable proportion. Fish taco came in decent size (unlike some places that serve tiny tacos.) Good location to walk around the Port Orchard old town after a big meal.
