Ordered fish tacos, Pavo fries, grilled chicken salad, west side nachos, & a burger. I got 2 fish tacos in my order that honestly did not taste good at all, the fish was over done and flavorless. They also forgot to add the fries on the order. The chicken was not at all “grilled” more like pan fried or microwaved. The nachos barely had any toppings on it and also had burnt chips. And the burger was also mediocre good enough to fill your hunger but not for 15$. I’m confused with all the good reviews on this restaurant. Each item was 15$ plus and there’s nothing I hate more than spending money on bad food. I’m sure the service is great in person but if u go for the food it’s not worth it specially for the price.
Decent selection of beers and full bar available. We tried each of the wing types that they offered and I think if they mixed both sauces together it would work out well. The Korean wings were a little sweet and needed some heat to balance it out. Prices were about what you would expect and the service was friendly. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available and they have a parking lot in the back so you don't have to search the streets to find parking.
I tried a cider I’ve never seen anywhere else in olympia. The bartender Mallory suggested it. We came here because of their fried pickle fries and were not disappointed! The service was so fast I was surprised my food was already ready and it was decently filled with other patrons. 10/10 recommend this bar- maybe because the bartender was so NICE! Love the decor too(;
Food was okay at best. Ordered 3 of the same drink and each was very different from the last. The service was pretty much non existent. If you want something you have to go to the bar to get it. I asked several times for waters with my order and several times for boxes and had to retrieve them from bar. My drink sat empty for quite awhile before I went up to order again. For price and quality of food as well as service I wouldn't recommend. It's super packed inside and tables are on top of each other. Not the worst place but I won't be back. Just thought we'd try something new but not impressed. Back to Buzzs bar and grill for us.
Service was awful. The waitess refused to give my party of 5 menus. When we sat down she told us she would provide menus when she got “caught up.” She cleared tables, wiped down the bar, chatted with people sitting at the bar…10 minutes still no menus. One person in our party went up to the bar hoping she would provide menus—again she refused to give us menus! Telling us she would give them to us when she got “caught up.” We were offended and got up to leave. She shouted at us as we were leaving and encouraged other patrons to clap and shout rude good-byes.I’ve waited tables before, i cant imagine being so rude to customers. I’d like to see her fired.
We decided to try Westside Taven after seeing a few great reviews. The food, service, and beer were great! We loved the atmosphere too. We will definitely be going back soon!
Great tavern food.
It’s a comfortable, clean, locally owned neighborhood bar. Friendly service, good food, dog friendly outdoor seating, LOTS of beers to choose from, plenty of parking out the back door and a HUGE screen to watch the game.
Great little place, friendly folks and nice atmosphere. I had their hot wings and I loved them.
Bartender seemed more interested in going home than serving a bar half full of people at 11:15pm, went to a different spot and had a great time. Would recommend going somewhere else
