This is not great place for Thai food. My feedback always based on at least 5 visits and this feedback also same. I have ordered food 5 different days/times and below are my findings.- Spicy levels not consistent- Taste not consistent- Over priced. Not worth for your money- Food quantities are not matching with price or quality- If you like spicy food, then skip this restraint. I feel spicy level 4 is also very sweet and creamy.
When ever I'm in town, my father and I make sure to dine here. The food is of supreme quality. And the staff are very attentive and kind. With large portions, you are guaranteed left overs for days.
While on vacation, I visited Thai Garden Restaurant and Lounge. The service was great, the restaurant was clean, and the food portions were decent. The Thai Garden Sampler and Massaman Curry were very good. I also ordered Pad Kee Mao because I really wanted Drunken Noodles. The waiter said Pad Kee Mao was the same dish, just a different name. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the dish, it was oddly sweet. The cup of tea was good but the price was higher than most places. If I were to travel to the Olympia area again, I'd definitely stop in for some good eats.
Had Tom Kha Vegan soup with Pad Siew chicken , Loved my food , it was cooked to perfection with perfect service , would go back again , highly recommended
Good Thai food. The curries are very tastee and the noodle dishes are delightful. The Spring Rolls are delicious, as is the peanut sauce. The waitstaff members are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. All around a good place for a bite of Thai Cuisine.
Very low expectations, but this place is good. They got Massamann curry down perfectly, the flavor was complex, peanut and lemon! The chicken was tender, but the potatoes were a little hard and brown in the center (!??). We ordered a cucumber salad appetizer, which was what looked like an entire cucumber shredded into strips, with a sweet sauce. I had to ask for another sauce cuz it was quite a bit of cucumber! Enough for two people for 6 bucks. I ordered a shrimp fresh roll with hoison sauce with peanut flakes and it was good; I dissected it and found several whole mint leaves, so I'm happy. My husband ordered the Thai fried rice and the waiter "forgot"? his order? He actually brought us someone else's food, and we had to tell him to take it away, embarrassing, I know. He was very new and didn't know the salad dressing, either. It's OK to be new! He did apologize to us, but I felt really bad eating my main dish when my husband's hadn't even been started cooking yet. His fried rice, when it finally came, looked very dry. It was, in fact, dry. If that is your thing, you'll like it. But "bald" chicken pieces, ew. He asked for zero stars but this restaurant is sophisticated enough to not offer zero, the zero is one star *lol*. So it was a tiny bit warm. I tried it and my impression was a very strong FRIED taste, fried honestly in a wok. No other flavors noticeable, though, it was so mild. In the end we brought home a ton of food, we brought home more than we ate, cuz the portions are ENORMOUS. I've eaten Thai my whole life and I've never seen a "bucket" of curry before, but that is what it seemed like I had. No one can eat that much curry in one sitting. However, they only give you a tiny bit of rice, and charge for extra rice. That's fine for me, I don't like rice! I was surprised to see they offer bottled water for free, but we just asked for tap water. Our meal came to 42$, which seems fair for getting 2, maybe even 3 meals out of it! My main complaint was the floor was sticky, making a screeching noise as you stepped across it as your shoes stuck. I believe that must be from spilled sugary sauce in the kitchen that gets traipsed out by the waiters, but that is so easy to fix, for such an annoying detail. It makes you wonder about the cleanliness. But the fish tank was gorgeous and well-tended. Curious thing, they had a table by the fish tank with pre-filled ice water jugs, a lot of them, just sitting there. Is that allowed, in a restaurant's public space? I could have sneezed on all those jugs (I have a cold) and given a cold/Corona to you all. I'd go there again if I lived in America.
Super good food and always good customer service
I wish I was lying but I got take out and there was a cockroach in my food, after a hard days work. Sorry I don't have picture proof but I had to throw it away and immediately vomit. I usually don't leave reviews on places but this was super gross and it is usually a good place for Thai Food. Dine at your own risk.
First time to the Thai Garden and last. Bought Phad Thai with tofu to go. It was sour, and curdled. Didn't even get one bite before I knew it was bad. Very disappointed.
I'm not sure what happened but I've decided that I will no longer eat at this restaurant. My family and I ordered dishes that we are family with and were all disappointed. I have never had a curry dish that had no flavor. A coconut milk dish with no flavor. Spice levels 3 with no spice sensation. I have never known a curry to lack curry flavor or a coconut dish so one noted. Perhaps there are better options on the menu but I won't ever no because I won't be going back.
