While visiting Olympia we stopped here for coffee and sweets. The ambience of this place is great, the staff were so friendly and the pastries were amazing. The cookies were good, but if you have to choose one thing to eat, do yourself a favor and eat the eclair. It's one of the best eclairs I've had.
Really enjoyed this place ... the Bernie is our favorite. We had a molasses cookie that was good too ... also the Peanut Butter cheesecake.
We went with this bakery last year for my nephew's birthday party. They did a great job and were able to take the order with a week's notice. the price then (2021) was $109 PLUS TAX PLUS $15% GRATUITY (I have this in email). Although it was pricey, the cake looked great and tasted delicious. This was for a 7" round. This year we decided to go with this bakery for his birthday again. We gave her a week notice and she was nice enough to fill us into her schedule with some modifications on the cake (less decorations). We were quoted $139 for the same size 7" round PLUS TAX PLUS 15% GRATUITY. It came out to be almost $180 dollars! Whaaat.. for a cake that feeds only 8, that's $22/slice. We picked up the cake and it was not up to par with the standards SET BY THE BAKERY (as we got a cake from her last year). We had fondant decorations that didn't look clean, they looked like they were made of left over scrap pieces. Requested for a refund and the owner told us she was disappointed but allowed it. The cake I am sure would have tasted great but it was definitely way too pricey and not up to par with the standards of what we received last year. We were told "they are two different cakes".. granted we got less decorations this time. Don't think we'll be returning especially if the prices keep increasing..
Phoebe's sandwich quality is top notch. It's no wonder the same recipe of sausage & sage breakfast sandwich has been melting my heart for 4 years. ? Wow, creamy, cooked onions, I don't even know what the cheesy cream mixture is on there but it's amazing.
Just disappointing. We got home with our cookies. They were all old for sure. The meringue cookie that my daughter was looking forward to eating was very pretty but when she bit into it it is hard as a rock and very burnt. They other three cookies were stale. I just wasted my money for sure. The only reason for a two star rating instead of one is the cashier who helped us was very polite and gave good customer service. She was a five star. The baked goods were an epic fail.
Brought my 2.5yo for a mommy-daughter date. We enjoyed scones, a cookie, and great customer service. When my daughter made a mess, I asked if I could borrow their broom. They refused and assured me they would get it for me. Two thumbs up!
Ordered cupcakes for a baby shower last year. Very unpleasant interaction with the front desk person. Cupcakes were delicious so tried to order again this year for another event and was told they don't do cupcakes. When I asked why they did last year, I was then quoted $99 dollars per dozen?!? They weren't that good. Will take our orders from now on to Wagner's bakery.
I was genuinely pleased with the selections. It IS an ideal place to enjoy a great variety of what you see in the glass case. The staff were awesome and very helpful!!! When you're out and about, please drop by. I guarantee a fantastic visit for any delicious items.Enjoy!!!!
This is becoming our go-to place for birthday cakes, and their frozen dinner items (pot pies, meatballs etc). Customer service has been very good so far. Look forward to trying more of what they have to offer!
Ordered a birthday cake for my daughter a month in advance and the week of they hadn’t put the order in. Then tried to sell us on a plain cake called it custom and wanted a ridiculous price plus gratuity. I informed the baker $150 for a small plain cake was outrages and gratuity comes from good customer service which wasn’t a thing with that lady. Would not recommend
