We had just eaten dinner and went shopping so getting an entire bowl wasn’t something we wanted. Lucky for us, the offer a 3 flavors sample it was perfect sized and delicious
Okay, I really like this restaurant in the mall I really do. It's just that I had noticed a few people that where employees eating around in the area where they were serving the food at. I noticed a dude that was working there was eating his lunch at a table in the restaurant area and I thought that was odd. And I noticed two ladies doing the same all though they where not serving the food to the customers they where just in the area eating in the restaurant. Which I thought was werid. I don't know if that's against the food handlers card or not. Or maybe if I am a germphobe and I notice more things then regular people do but that's why I still gave them a five star cause I been here quite frequently enough where I had earned a freebie from them. I still enjoy going here and I haven't gotten sick. I had a similar experience at Ben and Jerry's restaurant in Tacoma. They are nice employees and never had a bad experience in customer service.It's just the eating in the restaurant area where you severe the food is concerning. But otherwise I give them a five star cause I really like their selections. I only had the chai tea, coffee drinks, and the fugde so far. Very tasty. I still like them but again I am just a germ phobe and I notice stuff that's why I still rated them a 5 star. Cause other than that they're the only place I trust in the mall. Since I had been here more then 10 times and never gotten sick. I believe they're clean in my opinion it's just a few times that I was noticing stuff because I am a germphobe. I still go here though because I do trust them. They seem clean other then those two times. I will be continuing to go here! You get a thumbs up from me. ? ??Also, I just had read someone's review about someone dressing inappropriately, lol. I don't know, but I never had seen that before with these people. I thought they dressed fine and mature for work environment. They don't need to be suffering in turtle necks to work. A t shirt and jeans are appropriate. Lol. I don't know what they're talking about. Just thought I add that in for my opinion.
The strawberry cheesecake Gelato did not last long enough to remember to take a picture. It was delightful. Also, ordered a Carmel macchiato and that was delicious as well. We will definitely come back!
Excellent gelato and coffee spot in the mall! Starbucks closed months ago and then I suddenly discovered that the gelato place serves Batdorf and Bronson coffee from Dancing Goats! Score! Even better than Starbucks and they make lattes too!
Hawley's Gelato is one of my favorite spots in Olympia! I was there the day their doors opened downtown in 2016, and I frequently visit their new location in Capital Mall whenever I am in town. I have spent countless hours with friends and family enjoying their many delicious treats. The Hawleys have worked tirelessly over the years to create a positive space for the community to gather, and they have adapted seamlessly to all of the challenges thrown at them during the pandemic to keep their workers and guests safe. My favorite orders from Hawley's are: a scoop of Sea Salt Caramel in a fresh-made waffle cone; a Strawberry Cheesecake milkshake; or a Redbull Spritzer with whatever flavor the barista recommends (they know best!) Hawley's truly has something for everyone, and they are an important pillar of Olympia's small business community. Make sure you give them a visit!
Their Gelatos are great but bit pricey for the amount of gelato they give you. Even charge you for a sugar cone. I paid like 5 for golf-ball sized kid gelato. I don't like their reward system. No matter how many ice creams you get, you'll only get ONE point per visit. It takes forever to get the reward and apparently it does not worth much according to the customer review below.

Yeah I’ve been going here since it opened. I’ve been saving up points to get a free milkshake because, I don’t like coffee all I get is milkshakes. But, I guess when you save up enough points you have to spend points on some cheap drink. Lost my appetite for the milkshake I just paid for. I was having a good day too. :(
The coffee was amazing and the fudge was pretty good. The lady who helped me was very nice and answered all my questions!
