They get 3 stars because the burger still tastes like exactly what I remember as a child and goop is still other best sauce that has ever existed. They reason for 3 stars is because this is not a $16 burger. They would probably get a ton more business if they had reasonable prices. If anyone knows the recipe please loop me in so I can make a burger at home and skip the price gauging.
Original owners sold this year and the new staff does not understand the significance of an iconic hamburger stand like Eagan's and their world famous goop.I purchased 2 little Tom baskets w/fries, the hamburgers were raw and the fries cold and the goop is no longer the original recipe that made Eagans famous. I will no longer eat there, sad to watch another iconic restaurant ruined.
I've considered going here for a while (didn't originally know it's just another Tom's)...well, 2 cars in the left lane, 2 in the right...35 minutes later I got to the window...little did I know it was going to cost 50 dollars for 2 burger meals (one big Tom's deluxe one a deluxe cheeseburger), both with what was to be a "large" French fry and "large" drink with each. I'd say their "large" french fry was probably the size of a McDonald's medium, and that maybe being generous. Then, the "large soda" for 3.50, is a 20oz and with ice nets you approximately 11oz of soda (wow). For another few bucks with likely less wait time, I could have had 2 burger meals with proportionate sized sides and a couple of beers at The Ram. Then...the service. All kids that seem more interested in chatting with each other and minimizing customer service (I sat at the window for 5 minutes before a younger gal opened the window and said "uhhh have you been helped yet"...literally 5 minutes of sitting at the window after a half hour wait in line. Then you get to drive home and the food that at least tasted decent, is cold and has to be reheated anyways. Just not worth going to or returning to

Slow as a slug. Tried to get lunch today about 1:30 PM. Pulled in behind a car. 15 minutes and I didn't even move an inch. Won't be in business very long at that speed. Went around that car and left. Won't try again.
Enjoyed my burger and tots with goop. The price was not as hefty as I thought it would be. Alot cheaper than the big franchise joints and tastier food, it's a winner in my book. The burger was not all gooey and wet, it was a moist burger, Hot, Fresh and delicious. The tots were not greasy, they were hit and tasted great.
Stopped by on a Wednesday close to 4. Food is SUPER overpriced, it is very slow service, and the quality was terrible even with a tip. Workers had a decent attitude.
I had the BLT. Good food at a good price. Their fries and tater tots are delicious and the customer service is great!
They say that they close at 6:00 but really they turn the grill and such off at 5:30. They only will provide ice cream after 5:30. Deceptive hours.
Yeah they're more expensive than McDonalds, but you get what you pay for. Always excellent burgers and fries! Everything is fresh, especially the vegetable...no brown edged lettuce or tomato butt
