Had friends here from out of town and we wanted to show them the waterfront and sit inside on a very hot night! The food was great the service was lovely. This is our go to far out of towners!

This is a proper restaurant! Don't come here if you need French fries with everything, gloopy crude sauces and indifferent service. Especially don't come here if you dislike well cooked food done with some imagination with fresh local ingredients. Those who dislike atmospheric attractive surroundings and lively service need go elsewhere.

The food is amazing!! The service and ambiance are also amazing!! I recommend Dockside Bistro for a nice date night or just to try something different and awesome.

Excellent food, fun drinks, and top-notch service.

Went out for our anniversary. We knew this place was expensive but I was intrigued by their menu online listing Elk. First thing out of the waitresses’ mouth was no Elk. We should have walked right then. I settled on the ribeye, which was 55$. I also ordered an old fashioned, which was super sweet, hint to the bar, people who drink an old fashioned are not looking for super sweet. When the steak arrived it was well done, not medium as I had ordered. We didn’t see our waitress for the next 40 minutes so I begrudgingly ate a way overcooked steak. The service, execution, and food was terrible. Wasted our evening and our money!!!!

Food and service are excellent.

Tim was our waiter, he was fantastic and took great care of us. We had the halibut and a ribeye (on special)...both were delicious! The bread pudding for dessert, was excellent! We'll definitely be back!

Our food (scallops) tested good, but the salad and entree were so small for the price and we were not full. The atmosphere was dated also with mixed decor.

Best restaurant in Olympia. Not that there is a lot of competition. Very good food. Oysters on a bed of cold pebbles, instead of crushed ice, was a nice presentation. The bourguignonne sauce was excellent. Not the normal shortcut attempt. Nor was the excellent wine list normal. Nice to encounter wines other than the predictable standards. Someone put a lot of thought into choosing wines. Service was excellent.

The food was just not as good as it usually is. The crab dip had very little crab and a lot of garlic. The salad had almost no dressing. My dates steak was cooked perfectly however mine was very over cooked. I would have sent back but our server seemed to forget about us while taking care of a larger party. Our drinks died and we were dying for water refills. Skipped dessert because of the poor service. We used to come here every few weeks or so but the last time we visited, we were turned away because we didn’t have a reservation. We walked outside and booked a table on open table, walked right back in and were sat immediately in the empty restaurant. The vibe is almost like the servers do not want to be sat. I can’t say I’ll be back anytime soon.
