Glad to see this location is a coffee shop again! The shop is nice and wasn’t too busy. The prices were very reasonable. However, they didn’t have any decaf iced tea which was a bummer (would have taken 5-7 minutes to make decaf iced tea from the decaf tea bags they had). Got a decaf iced coffee with heavy whipping cream instead and wasn’t very impressed. The coffee was sour of bitter/sour. My son had an iced chai tea latte that was pretty good… not too sweet and lots of flavor. Had almond milk options!
We had a very positive experience in this beloved coffee shop (so sorry they are moving!) The barrista was helpful and patient, each of our espresso drinks were excellently prepared, and the light, wood/period feel of the shop really completed the experience.
Best coffee experience we found in Olympia while my partner and I were visiting! As baristas we enjoy finding the good coffee spots. This one is well worth it! Great atmosphere, service, snacks and amazing coffee. Would definitely recommend this place over the handful that we tried in the city!
I was raised in Oly. I remember when DG was on 4th. I'm an actual local, but have been away for years living overseas and travelling. I rocked into Oly early in the morning with all my travel luggage and went to B&B for a cup. Moved to Capital & Legion. No probs. I was early. Sat out front waiting. Kid arrives, masked. I say "good morning". He says, "you're going to need to move all your stuff away before I open". I think he assumed I was a transient, homeless person. I said "bad assumptions, dude". He didn't apologize, just tried to explain himself away.Well, I'm going to my buddy Mike's joint for a cup. Bye bye goats. Oly has plenty of better options now. Besides, your interior looks like a hospital.
A really good coffee shop in Olympia. Stopped by and grabbed a Macchiato and Latte. The coffee was good and also loved their banana bread. It was perfectly sweet for me. Service was great too. They have huge space for folks to come in and sit. I will be back for more when I visit you next.
Poor business practice makes for a terrible atmosphere that makes certain groups of people feel shamed, this is a place I will not visit again.
Always brightly lit, clean space, warm friendly staff, and amazing coffee. They are moving to a new space soon and I'm super excited to see the change.
Love coming here for a fresh bag of coffee you may see their coffee in other places but if you want it fresh then you come here because they will ensure you get a great cup of coffee.
Relaxed in house seating and Covid safe environment. Fireplace and comfy chairs at this location. Friendly service too.
