We found a watering hole just after the bridge from Conway. They serve beers and wine. Very friendly staff and great service.
This is a nice place to meet friends and have some wine, beer or cider. Alternatively you can sit down and have a meal. The food is good (Taco Tuesday anyone?), the desserts are delicious (that carrot cake!), and the beer gardens is the place to be during the Tulip Festival! Sitting outside is the best, the inside doesn't have much ambience. The prices are decent. Definitely worth the visit!
Such a fun place to grab a soda & sandwich or even a few supplies. Nice outdoor seating in good weather. Provides deli items as well as food orders. If you're traveling between La Conner and Fir Island, recommend you stop at the Rex.
Great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wonderful people. They treat you like family.

GO HERE! I ended up there by chance and I left so thankful I did. The place is seeping with small town history kept alive by locals and the owner. The burger I had was INCREDIBLE, best I've ever had in WA. The fry sauce was just perfect, with extra kicks of flavor. The staff was warm and friendly, even funny and cheerful. I just couldn't say enough good things to them

Lunch at The Rex was a relaxing treat in a quiet forested area amidst the farmlands. We visited at noon and were lucky to be there for Taco Tuesday. The waitress recommended pork, and we weren't disappointed. The tacos were generously sized (one per person was plenty) with lots of tasty pork along with fresh vegetables.
Bummer. Looks like a great place to eat but we may never know. Took my grandson there today with 2 others because his name is Rex. We wanted to sit outside, so the waitress said go pick a table and I’ll follow you with menus. She never showed. 15 minutes later, I went in and got menus myself. 15 minutes later, still no show. So we left.
