Stopped in Saturday for brunch. 20 minute wait for a table for two. Very popular place within the community. I really liked the portion sizes, the taste of the food and the quality. Overall it's an amazing value and what you'd expect for an American country breakfast diner. It's the kind of place my grandparents would take me to, and you'd go every other weekend or after church. I got a cowboy scramble and my wife got the country fried steak. Food was hot when it got to us and very flavorable..though i added a lot of hot sauce and pepper to mine. We both took boxes for our leftovers. Be very hungry when you come here, or have space in the fridge to bring it back home. It's comparable to Billy's Cafe in burlington, but if i had to choose one or the other...its a tough choice. Mr. Ts would be my choice if i wanted biscuits and gravy. Also, the service wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad. Our table was clean and had water waiting for us. Waitress was nice. The place could be updated inside but It's what gives the place charm! I will be coming back.

Breakfast was great the service was even better. I had the rib eye and my gf had the day special country fried steak, the fresh squeezed orange juice made the difference definitely coming back....

Best breakfast you could get in Mount Vernon and the quantity is huge very filling and the freshly squeezed orange juice is the best I Ever had. Everything is very tasteful and made from scratch, when you eat it you feel like your grandma made it and just reminds you of a great home meal.

Huge portions and great service. We went on a weekday and liked everything we ordered. I know there's long lines on the weekends though as it's not the biggest place.

The portions are huge! The price was worth it. Next time sharing. The staff is friendly. Kind of a small place inside. Parking lot is small so carpool.

They have delicious burgers and patty melts. Attentive and friendly staff. I want to go back and try breakfast

I had to be in the area for the day, so I decided to stop in for breakfast. It was around 10:00 on a Friday morning and they were pretty busy with both dine in and take out orders. I went inside to see about getting a table and was informed, for the future, that I was supposed to check in at the take out window outside first. She found me a table anyway and didn't make me go back outside to do it the "right" way. I ordered a half order of the biscuits and gravy. It's huge! I wasn't able to finish it. It was good. The biscuit tasted biscuit-y and the gravy had bits of sausage in it. The coffee tasted like someone had used the coffee pot for an ashtray. It was so horrible that even though I added 6 of those little half-n-half cups I still couldn't drink it. But I didn't say anything because the waitress was so busy that I felt bad for her.

Pancakes size of my head and bigger? Hard to find parking small place. Waited forty minutes to sit. One waiter. Food came fairly quick tho and the guy David was way overworked yet was calm under pressure. My food was pretty good. Hamburger steak is a fail ..dry and no flavor but the rib eye was on point. My hash browns supper oily but.good. eggs were good. Pancakes that size doesn't mean better. Ordered three pancakes not even enough syrup came for that. I got two small cups. So large fluffy absorbent pancakes with no syrup? Ur eating bread...but again for what it is the huge amount they offer the great customer service....those are small things. This place I would go to all time if tad cheaper.

1st time here, but not our last! What a wonderful cute little diner. The staff was very attentive and sweet, food came out very quick, and HUGE portions. They had a special called the ultimate breakfast and it was so much food! Cooked very well and met all my needs. The OJ tasted very fresh as well. 10/10!

Excellent biscuits and gravy! I am truly in love with Mr. T's menu. The fully loaded hashbrowns are a showstopper for sure?
