It was so nice I really wanted to eat someplace outside...but have also been wanting to go here. Very nice atmosphere upon entering. Since I'm a light eater was happy to see I could get 1/2 of a sushi roll. Had the Spicy Tuna....a VERY LARGE portion! Since this is not a sushi place I'm cutting them some slack. Roll was quite tasty but not rolled tight so fell apart easily....they do give you a fork! They don't bring ginger & wasabi but ask if you want some. They have a Pho bar to add to your dish & also an extensive drink menu. Very pleasant staff.
When we dined it was 50% occupancy but staff wasn’t attentive except one time asking if we were okay soon after our order all appeared at the table. Wanted to order more but everyone avoided our table. Wait time was understandable, value is alright.
Okay so this used to be our favorite to go to and take out teriyaki, the last few times we have been disappointed. But thought let's give them another shot. Nope!! They failed us. We open the salads and I kid you not absolutely discusting. Brown, slimmy and just not even appealing. How can someone even package that and think that is okay. Lazy maybe, didn't want to go get fresh? Would they eat that? I would bet not. Never again. And the staff is less then friendly.
This was 5 stars. Food is good. But the last 3 times I've came here for a to go order I've waited 35 minutes, 40 minutes and just now still standing here after 45 minutes. Been watching people come and go. Not sure what the problem is. Kinda wish I would at least be acknowledged by staff after standing 5 feet from the register for almost an hour. Wish I was exaggerating. I mean... It's redicilous. The lady told 10 to 15 minute wait...
Ordered roughly $100 worth of food last night. The teriyaki meats were the most overcooked I've had anywhere. Like jerky with a bit of sauce. It's the 2nd time I've ordered it, and it was the same before. So, I don't think it's a fluke and definitely wouldn't recommend it.The sushi roll we had (tempura) wasn't amazing, but it was decent and did the job.The pho is usually ok.
We never got our food, waitress (with the pink hair) never came to check on us as everyone recieved food who came in 20, 30 minutes after us. When we asked about our food after an hour she said there was a line of tickets. Then the table beind us which was cleaned and turned for the next customer WHILE we where waiting GOT THEIR FOOD. So I ask again and she asks"what did you order again?" I'm like shouldn't you know? We have been sitting her for 1 hour and 20 minutes with my 3 kids. It was just 3 Phos. Then I see her look at a togo order that has been sitting for 30+ minutes and take it to the back after asking us. There was no way I was going to eat that food that has been sitting out, if that was our food. This place was extremely disappointing do not go.
Been twice. First time I had sushi and spouse had pork teriyaki and appetizer combo. The sushi at Safeway is better if you get it early. Rice tastes like it wasn't fresh and sat in refrigerator over night. No flavor. Sushi is sublime if done right, that was far from it. Appetizers were dry and flat, no flavor. Side salad only iceberg and it was brown, so didn't eat. However teriyaki was really good, good flavor fairly well cooked.Second time I got chicken katsu and spouse got pork yakisoba. Katsu was so dry I decided to she if I could kill the dog and gave it to her. She survived. Salad tonight, while not all brown was so full of water that I didn't see before adding dressing I couldn't finish it. Yakisoba not great, not horrible but very mediocre. I will not be giving them another chance, way too expensive for the quality.
So a couple months ago I ordered some shrimp pho to go, when I arrived home and looked at it there was a squished fly in the soup! I only had about 20 mins left of my break so I just threw it away and vowed to never eat there again. Well yesterday I decided to give them a second chance and again got the shrimp pho. This time the broth tasted old/weird and there was chunks that broth gets when it’s old. I couldn’t even finish it and now I have been sick all day. The staff is also on the rough side.
Probably the best pho/fried rice in Mt Vernon their teriyaki is ok, haven’t tried anything else. Appreciate the free tea and self serve condiments bar. Only thing lacking is the service, been there multiple times now and the same server doesn’t recognize us and most of them are pretty caught up in what they are doing. But if you want a decent pho I’d say stop by.
By @iwanttobewhatieat ???I pho king love @biteteriyakipho so so much. Such an random find in #burlingtonwashington that is an endless road of chains and fast food. The service is good, the food is incredible.?? #vietnamesemeatball #pho with Brisket and Tripe. First of all Pho in itself is proof that you are meant to be happy and slurping delicious warm soup noodles mixed with meat and fresh vegetables into your face! They have a condiment bar that is Covid prepared where you can stock up with as much fresh basil, bean sprouts and other phocessories.? Nice selection of rolls if you need a little extra. I recommend the half roll, as you see pictured, still pretty big.The service is perfect for a self sufficient type of meal. The staff is nice and attentive. They have an incredible amount of teas with boba jellies.
