Spent 20 minutes looking at a menu and nobody took my order. I then went up to the front and spent 15 minutes while the staff walked past me multiple times and never said a word to me. I finally just gave up and decided McDonald’s would probably treat me better.
Old fashioned greatness! Such a large menu of desserts with vintage photos!! The banana split was throwback amazing because they used real pineapple and strawberries too! Worth a stop for a planned dessert any time passing through College Ave in North Mt. Vernon! (｡•̀ᴗ-)و ̑̑✧
Went after the lunch rush. Service was great, food was consistant with what it has been before, which is tasty! This place is very comfortable in a homey way. I like the San Juan burger and the potatoes salad which is what I had, but have had a variety of menue items and the have all been delicious! Of course ice cream for dessert is always nice but the best is the real milkshakes! Yum
Second time coming here.. Best ice cream place for an old fashioned Sunday like you would see back in the day. One of my favorites in the entire northwest. Great to take little ones for a treat or family visiting.
Very charming old fashioned ice cream parlor, sends me right back to when I was a kid. Customer service was a little slow but they did a good job. Food was pretty good typical diner fare. Black and white sundae was outstanding. We will definitely be back for a little taste of nostalgia.
Delicious ice cream! Next time you're diving through Mt Vernon, Stop here! The kids had two scoops in a dish- mint chip/peppermint candy and some sherbert combo. I had a Java chip sundae with whip cream and cherry. Pay at the register and have a seat. A nice lady will bring your receipt and a glass of water. I saw others ordering food. Not sure if I noticed what was offered but this place has a classic diner feel. I expect burgers and that sort of thing.
My husband and I used to go here when we were dating back in 1975. Last night the food and service was just as good as back then. There were several families there enjoying themselves, especially the kids. There was plenty of wait staff too.

Old school burger and sundae spot - great ice cream, broad selection of sundaes. Staff are lovely and it's a very family friendly space. Love the 1970's menu with original prices.
Not to crowded. Good service. Lots of yummy flavors to choose from. Offers water while we were eating our ice cream was a great plus
