I’ve worked at two different locations, in Texas and Spokane, WA. I know how things work, and this location does it terribly. No tomato on my slapped together burger and no mustard like I had specifically ordered. The entire theme is to order at stalls and have a carhop bring it to you, there were no warnings that the stalls weren’t open. Do better. Terrible customer service as well, this location sucks; should be shut down in my opinion if they continue to not do what their payed to do.
I actually give this place zero stars. We just went by to grab some food, parked in a stall, pushed button to order, person said we will be right with you. Meanwhile the car next to us was getting their order taken. She comes back on and says we are no longer taking any orders. We push the button again to let her know we got there at the same time as the other car and she comes back on and says the exact same thing without letting us speak whatsoever. We left and will never go back. They lost our business for good. That is not a way to run a business.
Make no mistake the food is good. However, I understand that business are short staffed and it’s hard to get people. But they should maybe put cones to block the stalls or a sign up on the windows “Saying the window stalls are closed!” Nothing is more frustrating than to sit there planning out your order for 10mins then to be told that they are not taking orders at the drive up window because it’s closed! And you need to use the drive-through and the line is so long and the wait time was 20 minutes or so! Make it easy for your customers and workers by communicating with a simple sign.
Drive through only? Probably because short staffed. Well what the hell are the stalls for then? I'm not waiting in A LONG line at the drive through to get my food. They did not let us know it was drive through only.
Just spent over $45.00 asked for a detailed receipt. Was told it would be in the bag. It was not. Ordered cinnasnacks. They were not good. Doughy and got no frosting with them.45 bones for what I ordered was crazy. I will never come back.
We stopped by for some Cherry Limeades and snacks. We waited 15 min in a stall and they notified us they were helping drive through, so we pull into that line and are then told we could park in a stall. That was frustrating. My daughter and I ordered Corn Dogs and after we were on the road discovered there was no mustard! We know you have staffing shortages and are trying to be understanding. We'll be back the next time we're in the area.
A good thing that sonic has going for it is the unique customer experience of ordering at a drive in and eating in the car. They also have a large menu which helps the more picky eaters, or those who like to try new things. We had fast service, and the food was hot. My wife enjoyed her honey BBQ popcorn chicken, although the sauce was lazily tossed and the picture clearly shows that some pieces of chicken had no sauce on them. Her tater tots were crispy and salty. She got the grape slushy with nerds. She was dissatisfied that nerds were the only candy option available and the drink was too sweet for her to finish, but it was good while it lasted. I got the double bacon cheeseburger with chili cheese tots. The cheeseburger was less than desirable, probably the worst fast food burger around. I asked for extra ketchup and got basically none on there. The bun was tough and the burger / bacon was dry. The chili cheese tots were predictably soggy but had a good chili flavor and a nice proportion of cheese. You can't really mess up tater tots, so I don't give them extra credit for being satisfactory. My cherry limeade was quite refreshing. Overall, sonic is a great choice if you want a special drink or if you want a change from a DQ blizzard, but their hot food holds them back from getting a repeat visit.
I tried to order online but it wouldn't let me. I made 3 attempts closing app and starting over to no avail. I kept getting "system error" message. I decided to see if I could order the drive up. I explained my situation and the person I spoke to wasn't any help whatsoever. They weren't busy so I don't know what the ride customer service was for. She didn't offer any suggestions much less, offer to take my order. When I asked if I could order what I had on my phone. She started"you could but I can't offer you what's on your phone. I ended with "Thank you" and drove to Dairy Queen where they were super sweet and nice and had exceptional customer service. And, they were busy. Drive thru line was backed up. I see why now. Get it together Sonic!!
We pulled into an open drive up spot. After waiting a few minutes a voice told us the drive in stalls were permanently closed! What is the point of having stalls if they don't use them. Anyway, we went through the drive through instead and ordered burgers and tater tots. All of our food was good, but not any better than Burger King. We were underwhelmed.
Overall we enjoy the drinks and food here. However the last few times we have been they have been out of at least part of what we go there looking for. Their carhop service is still not happening as well. Sonic is not the same as they were a few years ago.
