Awesome and unique Japanese burger .. what makes it different, you might ask. The answer would be complex since so much is different. First off, it's deep-fried (your choice of chicken breast, boneless pork chop or beef hamburger), topped withshredded cabbage, optional bacon, cheese and their signature Tokantu sauce. Wow! Pair with curry-dusted fries and mayo dipping sauce. BOOM! I stock with the pork or beef, and it is always a WIN.
This was a fun and interesting place to try. I'm just not sure it's something I would personally continue to go back to. I thought the meals add up really fast to where it might not be worth it to me. Although the portions were plenty big. In my opinion I would like an option for half the fries and not pay close to $5 for a side. I thought the sauce on the burgers were not used enough which was another disappointment.
It’s a deep fried burger, or pork cutlet, or chicken filet. For what it is, it’s good. Definitely worth a try at least once. The fries are crisp! Even if you get them to go, they will be crisp when you get them home or wherever! That’s rare. Love the fries! — The pork Katsu bites were just like Katsu I’ve had in Japan, except a bit dry. — The Jalapeños on the burger we’re sadly pickled :( I prefer fresh. And worse they don’t check for stems before loading the jalapeños on your burger. So I got an inedible stem on it. — this is the only location I’ve been to. The floors were oddly sticky and squeaked as people walked around.
Wow! Must try! Huge Deep Fried Burger. Loved the Ninja Deluxe (I switch out the pork for beef). My friend got the Samurai Select and loves it. The 12spice fries were good, though next time I think I’d prefer a different flavor, but they are a favorite of my friend.Will be coming back as often as I’m in town. ?
So good I brought my boyfriend yesterday, and had to bring my husband today!The burgers are HUGE and amazingly juicy and tender.Get the nori fries, OMG so yummy.The croquettes are AMAZING.I was not really impressed by the Banzai Bites though you get a big portion, but they weren't really that tasty and required sauce.The bathroom was clean.
If you can’t decide between a burger or crispy Katsu, you won’t need to! Head straight to Katsu Burger where you’ll get the best of both. A crispy Katsu patty on a bun with flavorful mayo!
I had the samurai Burger and it was damn good I got the french fries with seaweed specs they were also damn good it's a bit pricey compared to your average burger joint but this is nowhere near your average burger joint definitely well worth the price. I'd probably even pay more. If I could afford it ( but don't tell them that)
Have eaten here several times, it never disappoints! Especially like the 12 spice fries and the Samurai Select burger.
I love this place! We found this spot by accident when trying to find a Japanese style curry restaurant, and it completely met all of our cravings and then some. Every time we've gone, it's been absolutely amazing in every way. I've tried a few burgers now, and Katsu Curry is my favorite, though the Ohayou Gozaimasu one is incredible too. Classic is a fun crunchy take on a classic burger. They do such a great job building these burgers too, like the ratio of flavors is always spot on, and when you add a topping it's never overwhelming or soggy or anything. I usually end up eating the burger upside down to contain the mess a bit better and not rip the buns. Their sides and sauces are all great too, the curry fries are an explosion of flavor. People have always been kind, store very clean, and ordering and service excellent! Thank you!!
Really good and interesting burgers. Highly recommend one of the pork katsu ones (I had the Ninja Deluxe (Crispy Natural Pork Loin Katsu, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Tonkatsu Sauce, No Japanese Mayo), and 12 spice fries.
