Ixtapa is our go-to place. The food is always really good. The staff is very efficient and friendly. They make us feel like family.
Ordered through a food delivery app. One of the items did not get seen, made, or delivered. I called the restaurant and they were apologetic and wanted to give a credit. I said that I would take it up with the delivery service. Since this is our favorite place, we re-ordered the item plus some other things. It arrived with a hand written apology, the original missed item, and a gift card. What a way to be cared for. We are appreciative and highly recommend this spot for the best food and service. Thank you.
Employees here do not smile, at least not to delivery drivers. They take forever to prepare orders (over 15 minutes for simple orders). They do not care how long they keep drivers waiting. We are not paid to sit around waiting for you to start making an order that should’ve been well past started by the time we get there. You are not only making the drivers wait, but also YOUR customers. This is really rude and I will not be giving you any of my business. Drivers’ time matters and when you deliberately waste it, they will stop delivering orders for your restaurant and you will be stuck with the drivers that are desperate and don’t take care into delivering peoples’ food.Also, just because you aren’t around customers does not mean you should walk around without a mask covering your nose and mouth. With Covid going on, people are already skeptical about eating out. If I saw an employee not wearing their mask and breathing around the cups and plates that are served to customers, that would make me wonder what other health protocols you’re not following. Like washing your hands frequently and sanitizing surfacesLol the owner retaliating all hostile just proves my point. Their customer service needs work. And if all your employees wear masks, the. How come the first employee I came in contact with had their mask handing off one ear exposing both their nose and mouth the entire time I was there? He was handling the glasses and plates that are served to customers.Also, my car IS clean. I keep it clean and no, I don’t have pets. Also, yes, I do have an insulated bag and use it to keep peoples food warm. I’ve been to this restaurant pre-covid and your employees didn’t smile then and still don’t smile. You can tell when people smile behind masks based off other facial features, such as their eyes and eyebrows. A 3 item delivery should not take half an hour to prepare. 10 minutes is more than enough time to prepare most food items because everything should be pre-chopped and whatever. I’ve worked in the food service industry myself.
Jumbo Margarita tasted good and the fajitas were flavorful but could have used more chicken. Corn tortillas may have been house made? Pretty tasty will stop in again.
Very laid back atmosphere, and they are very quick with strong drinks and yummy food. They have an outdoor seating area for good weather, but it isn't always open.
Been here before during the afternoon service, food is great usually, food was alright today ,however, portions are smaller, prices seem way higher and they do not follow instructions or gaf about the customer to check in ever. They gave me the wrong tortillas and never came back to check on us to give the opportunity for me to get the ones i wanted, ordered waters, had to flag down someone AFTER we got our food to get those. I did order a double Malibu and coke, it was $9 per shot.. of Malibu? Way over priced drinks, my mother got a perfect margarita, no lime, just mix. Recommend staying away unless you already know the staff, our waiter seemed to be friendly with people he knew by name that were next to us.
Food came out very quickly. Delicious too. They also put on the Monday football game after I asked.
Idk man. The guy seated us, didn't give us a menu. Came over and asked if we were ready like 10 minutes later. (No drinks yet, btw) Super bizarre.
Food was plain and no chips of salsa with your take out. Didn't follow any of the instructions and food portions were small.
