Great local coffee shop. This Seattle institution offers Fair Trade coffee and friendly, knowledgeable staff. This location is way better than the Edmonds location and worth the extra drive.
The male barista working here is absolutely horrible. Waited a total of 30 minutes for the most mediocre “matcha latte” with not an ounce of matcha in it, came back to show them the 12 oz of milk they served me and the condescending male barista just said “ok have a good day” and I left the $7 “matcha latte” on the counter. They could care less.I’ve come inside here before with a drive thru line and an indoor line with 1 single female barista working and I still didn’t wait anywhere near 30 minutes. Instead today there is 3 baristas but only 1 is making drinks and after 30 minutes the only reason I had my drink made was because everyone in line behind me is being handed their drinks and I still don’t have mine. They were serving the drive thru line rapidly but could care less that people are standing around waiting for over 25 minutes for a single drink. Not worth coming here unless you have at least 30 minutes to blow and like paying a premium for poorly made drinks by staff that are extremely rude and don’t care about customers. Horrible cafe!
Had a coffee here this morning and I was stoked to see they had some specialty drinks. Tried the Medici, loved the Medici. 10/10 for an out of the box mocha. (Mih-dee-chee I think, if you decide to try it.)
Coffee is great and the staffI have been getting coffee here for years until todayThis vaccination is something else
this is an sjw stronghold. Spent about 10 minutes inside waiting in line they didnt seem to have a problem with it.then was told i need a vax card to drink coffee inside, even though its not required in snohomish county. even CDC admits that vaccines dont prevent the spread of covid. Yet the Dr barista there thinks she knows better than actual doctors not allowing people to sit down and have a coffee.Cool thing about capitalism is that there are many other shops to choose from that have normal non sjw people working there and better coffee anyway.i havent been to this shop for about 10 years and they just reminded me again why i chose not to go there in the first place. Coffee is good but im not sure if the baristas or management is the problem.
A previous review described this place as a nefarious SJW stronghold. I assumed that meant that there was an SJW spawner inside and a quest lay before me, so I went in expecting a battle to preserve freedom! What I found was tasty tasty communism juice. The barista was so nice, I felt my sovereign citizenship slipping away with every polite pastry suggestion.I'm sad I didn't find the SJW spawner, that would have dropped some pretty great loot but instead I got a macchiato and it was tasty as hell. I guess that's its own reward.
Lively coffee shop with a retro feel. Not too many food options at 10 am. Solid cold brew and filling, low calorie breakfast burrito. They have a drive through and both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Parking was pretty full on a Wednesday morning.
Mocha was more milky and less mocha-ish.... butter croissant was tasty and fresh...their quiche of the day was amazing
Molasses cookies are delicious. My son enjoyed the monster cookie. If you like sweet coffee this may not be a great fit.
I don't like to write bad reviews - especially when I think the staff are nice, and trying their best.Sadly, this place is practically in shambles. The carpet is dirty and stained, the place looks like a cluttered, unclean mess. And they have almost no lactose free options. They do have milk alternatives, but nearly all of their flavors, syrups, and all of their pastries have dairy milk in them. The drink I ordered was bland and hard to get down. I won't be returning ? This is due to poor management, lack of training on how to make good coffee (not the barista's fault, this is clearly a management issue), and no desire to present a clean, comfortable establishment to the public. Even if your business is not making much money, cleaning and tidying is always an option.
