I haven't been to Applebee's in 25 years. Man, what I have been missing. I had a ribeye steak with potatoes and broccoli, French fries, a smoothie, a lemonade, and a chocolate meltdown. Every item was made to perfection. Yummy! Flavorful! And what value too! The same money spent elsewhere comes no where near the quality of the food at Applebee's. I will be back!
Overall a great time.Service was awesome, it was the end of Mother's Day and our waitress was very busy, but she still was able to check on us often and apologized for making us wait. I enjoying myself, so I didn't notice a wait. The hosts were also attentive and nice.As for speed, we got seating right away. The appetizer and drinks came promptly, and the food was a little slow, but they were busy so totally understandable. I would rather have quality food, rather than quick. The Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp did not look like the picture, but it was crazy delicious. I wish there were more shrimp, because they were so good. Every part of this meal was amazing, and I can't wait to have it again. The Spinach and artichoke dip appetizer was delicious, and came with a small side of salsa that was also tasty, the only con I can think of is that it maybe needed more chips. The dip is hot, and the salsa is cold, I love it.The White Peach Sangria, which is a mix of moscato, peach schnapps, and fruit juice, was absolutely wonderful. I could taste all the flavors, and will definitely be a repeat customer on this one. Great job guys. The Sizzlin Butter Pecan Blondie was the most dissapointing dish I received, which I ordered to go. It tasted great, but the blondie was a little dry, it was like a piece of lightly dried out cake. The toppings made it worth it. The sugary nuts were super delicious. The Three Cheese Chicken Penne, my husband got this, he said it was okay. It appeared a little dried out, and he's not a descriptive guy sorry. He also got a berry smoothie that looked decent.
Just keep driving. I seem to have a trending topic as others have viewed. It’s the first Applebees that I have seen regulating there bar like there restaurant side, so be prepared on waiting to be seated. They can’t seem to handle COVID regulations. The entire bar is dirty and needs to be sanitized and you’re lucky if you see someone actually sanitize it. The entire bar was empty, meanwhile you’re touching shoulder to shoulder with other customers while you wait. I was told multiple times to move by a disgruntled employee even though she didn’t even give me a comfortable place to wait nor a time frame of which we would seated. Please and thank you would go a long way in this establishment, but they seem to lack the common etiquette.
Not a pleasant experience. They put us a family of 5 in a table for four, when there was larger tables open, and refused to put us at a larger table when we asked. Then they rushed our order. Food wasn't anything to write home about either. If it wasn't for the great company I kept, then I would have rated it a one star overall. I have been to this Applebee's twice now and both experiences were not pleasant. Doubt I will ever return here, or recommend it to family or friends

We go there for dinner about once a month, & have always had friendly & excellent service every time. .the waitresses make it a point to remember our favorite meals, and go out of their way to treat my elderly father with extraordinary kindness, & so does the manager.. Meals are always very good, hot & filling~ If I could give them 10 stars, I would..
I've been to quite a few Applebee's locations, this was my first time at this location.... The food was not quite up to the usual, they were insanely busy though, especially for a weeknight. We were told 5 minutes to get a table, it was over 20, and we just ended up in the, packed, bar after 20 minutes. The whole place was packed and the staff was working their tales off to accommodate. My guess is that they are probably just like any other location, and if you happen upon them and there's a wait, move on and come back another day.
On Valentine's night they are requiring everyone to wait up to 30 minutes only to find out the restaurant is nearly empty once you get in. My top Serloin steak showed up about a half inch thick smothered in pepper and cooked fully fully done. I ordered medium rare. My wife's fish and chips did not arrive instead they brought her something she didn't order. Probably someone else's order. It took them about 20 minutes to get that fixed while I chewed on my steak. A manager came out and asked how our meal was and we gave her very polite critique. She said she would take those fish and chips off of the bill. She did not. As we left, the restaurant was nearly empty and again the lobby was full of people to the extent some were standing outside.I asked the hostess why they would do that. She said her manager made her do it. They did bring out a complimentary dessert though.
Not safe at all.Of course you don't have to wear a mask when in a restaurant eating and drinking but there are no partitions between booths and absolutely no other safety standards being used besides the wait staff wearing masks. The area after a diner had left wasn't completely cleaned and it certainly didn't look like a cloth that had been sanitized either. Just another damp cloth. I know for some, this isn't a concern but it should be. I'll mention too the people coming out of the kitchen with no masks on. Probably one of the reasons that Cowlitz Co. has such a high rate of Covid.I felt so unsafe, I left.
This particular Applebees has always had spotty service. But today was worth a review. I went in at 3pm on a Monday and was not seated. I stood up by the host stand for 15 minutes, no one else waiting, just me. I made eye contact with multiple servers, one even came up towards me and walked away. I tried to get the attn of someone with no luck. After waiting I decided I would just sit myself at the bar instead of a table- the dinning floor wasn’t busy but worth the shot. I sat at the bar for 5 minutes- no bartender, no server. Nothing. No one took any acknowledgment. Honestly, it’s pretty frustrating. 20 minutes in a slow restaurant with plenty of workers and not a single one wanted to help me out. Negative reviews usually aren’t my thing, but come on Longview Applebees, do better.
