We tried this little place for the first time today. We had been hearing for years how great they were. We moved up by American Lake and tried a little Mexican place on Veterans Drive. It was awful.This place here is worth the little drive down the hill. Best street tacos I've had in a long time. My husband was just as happy with his enchiladas . Great place ?
Authentic foods from a variety of backgrounds it seems to offer. Ceviche always a good safe bet. Fresh tacos. Like everywhere it seems to have a severe hike in pricing perhaps due to covid pricing?
Burrito de lengua was delicious! Super tender and flavorful with great proportions of the rice, beans, etc. Horchata was on point too! Son got the quesadilla de polo and husband the burrito de carne asada and both really enjoyed them. Staff was super friendly and the food came out super fast. Will definitely be back again!
So happy to find out they are open once again since that wind storm. Carnitas were amazing as they were before. They were out of flan at the time, but I'll be back and hungry, once again soon.
The Carne asada tacos don't taste the same, they lacking flavor. I don't know what happened to this place after reopening. Now I can just go anywhere to eat these bland tacos in this state. Such a disappointment!!
I used to love this place literally ate here every day during my first trimester it was the only thing I could keep down. Fast forward a few years later they shut down for repairs now they’re reopened I ordered my usual burrito super excited felt like they were closed for so long but it was very anticlimactic. Tried the green sauce for flavor however it didn’t have it’s usual spice and didn’t help much. New cooks maybe? I hope this is just a fluke and isn’t the new norm.
The food is great. This place brings back many great memories when I was a kid. Love going there eating and remembering.
