This restaurant is for special Korean foods for drinks, not meals. Not cocktail bar, not pub. They sell special Korean foods for So-Ju(traditional Korean drinks). This special foods are beef intestines. ? I understand that many people doesn't like these. But if you interest to have or want to try, I definitely recommend to go to Makchangdrama. And these foods go well with So-Ju, just let you know. And every weekends, this restaurant is so busy. You may wait 40-50 mins on rush hour. However if you go there more than 4 people, they can take a reservation. Once again, this restaurant is kinda So-Ju pub, not like regular Korean restaurant.
Have been going to this restaurant for past year or so. I have been looking for restaurants specializing intestine BBQ just like ones in Korea for awhile and finally found it.I purchased fresh and cooked intestine from various markets but have not found ones like this restaurant serve.I had to ask the owner where she gets intestine. She explained these are special ordered items from exclusive vendor. No wonder I could not find similar ones from markets. Ones I got from markets had strong odor and texture wasn’t right.Ones being served here were flavorful and tender without unpleasant odor intestine is know for. So far I tried cold noodle and spicy pork soup and they are both excellent as well. There are other items on the menu I must try, including various Korean beverages. In summary, excellent food and service. Would highly recommend. ?????
Best intestine Korean BBQ in Washington. Others have tried and failed, this place did not disappoint. No gamey taste at all. Naengmyun was really good as well. They don't do any other meat.
I had ordered takeout from here several SEVERAL times after trying really hard to find a good Seolleongtang (설렁탕) soup. Somehow I stumbled across this brand new restaurant (to me) and ordered a few things to try. Basically I order from this place at least once a month now.Tonight I made up my mind to go and sit in and try the actual gopchang and daechang and the other delicious goodies I only saw on TV. OMG I was not disappointed. The atmosphere alone, the inside of the restaurant transports you right to Korea in a small village or street where you have shops that you can pick from to eat street food like these grilled intestines. Do not be afraid to try new things! I was at first very nervous because I am not Korean and my husband isn’t either so I was scared of being judged. Never fear because the owners there are so kind and welcoming as ever so please do not be afraid! So the first thing we did was order large intestine because I have never had it before. ZERO regrets! It tastes like the crispy fatty part of bacon and oh so smokey and wonderfully cleaned. No weirdness at all because they really care about their food preparation. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy eating here. For beginners I would definitely suggest that large intestine because the small intestine has a more bitter taste. For people who don’t want to eat this at all, there are mushrooms and really good beef brisket you can grill! The dishes are served with picked radish and a plate of green chives that you will eat with the grilled food. It comes with dipping sauces as well and some really good hot spicy soup to warm you up for your meal. You can order some deliciously unique purple rice separately or some ramyun noodles.Everything is appropriately distanced and you are seated privately and separately from other patrons. I love it. Give this restaurant a shot! Also don’t mind the loud noises from other diners who are rambunctious. It is because you are encouraged to drink alcohol here with these kinds of food and I think it’s so nice to be in such loud and happy company where people are eating delicious food and drinking delicious drinks.Truly the best most unique of Korean BBQ experiences in Washington State and the only one that is a true and proper GOPCHANG restaurant.AND THEY OPEN LATE SO YOU CAN DRIVE DOWN FROM SEATTLE WITH NO TRAFFIC.
One of my best Korean BBQ restaurant in wa
This is a korean bbq that specializes in inners ( intestines, stomach, heart). It is pretty good if you are into eating inners. The large intestine is very good, cruchy on the outside, and fatty on the inside. This is not an all you can eat, each item is about $30, so it adds up pretty quickly.
Very authentic korean bbq place specialized in intestine “gopchang”, and few other intestinal parts. Around Puget Sound area, this is really one of the best places with this specialty meats, high quality. The interior of the place is constructed to really give you that vibe of being at a korean bar-style restaurants, decors and stalls that give you intimate dining experience.Service is on point, staff is attentive and friendly, they are veterans and very knowledgeable in how to best enjoy the food.Ever since its opening, it’s been popular and it can be hard to find seating during weekends sometimes - be sure to call in and check for wait times. Reservations are accepted for 4 or more party sizes. If you love korean bbq and want to expand further out in your experience, highly recommend this place.
Pretty decent food at a reasonable price. We ate the grilled intestine and the quality was amazing. And nice hospitality from the female owner.

Absolute favorite korean food to eat in lakewood. The food is amazing, the interior, music, staff all top notch. Makes me feel like I'm in the heart of Seoul.
