I'm sorry but this is way below average for teriyaki. The chicken was beef jerky and the flavor was oil. Definitely stay away from this place if you care about taste.

I used to come here all the time, until recently. Last week, a friend and I decided to order food. The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude to us. We had requested to add tofu to our chicken yakisoba. She told us that that was too difficult! So we asked if we could just order some fried tofu on the side. She said that we were going to have to call her back because someone was calling her and hung up on us. It felt like she was angry at us for calling to order food. Tonight my husband and I decided to give them another try. We had had way more good experiences than that one bad one. Maybe the person was having a bad day. Anyhow, My husband was indecisive about what he wanted, the lady at the counter was getting really agitated and impatient. Keep in mind we were the only ones in the restaurant. We're trying to support a local business in our community and the last two times we have tried to order from this restaurant, We have been treated very poorly. I would think twice.

So I go here all the time at least once a week ordered yakasoba to go As I was walking out I turned around Because I forgot I wanted a teriyaki sauce in a hot sauce she said 25 cents each I will look to my pockets I did not have 25 cents I asked her if I could use my debit card she said no so I went out to my car and grabbed All the change I had which was only 30 cents I said I came in and I said well I have a 30 cent so can I get a teriyaki sauce since you won't let me use my debit card to get a hot sauce too so she handed me a teriyaki sauce put the change in the register and closed it deep in offer my 5 cents back and I turned around and left Mind you I gave her a $3 tip for a $12 meal And she still wouldn't give me a 20 cent off a 25 cents hot Sauce and would not let me use my debit card so stingy

Ordered wonton soup and they gave me egg drop soup with potstickers. WTH. So disappointed. If you don't have wonton soup don't sell it. Never going back.

Great delicious food fair prices just wish they would have their complimentary soup out front again

Charged me $20 for 2 pieces of kalbi ribs. Everywhere else gives at least 3 for the same price. They put the big pieces on top covering up the smaller ones. Also just 2 small scoops of rice. GREEDY!!!

I have always loved Kinya it’s good food and affordable. However, I noticed that they have new owners a couple months ago and thought no biggie but today as we were waiting for our food inside the restaurant my daughter was very happy to see me after a long day at work so she was laughing in the waiting room by the desk and just being happy. And the receptionist told her to be quiet loudly and I stood up for my daughter and asked why? My daughter was not being loud she was just laughing and being happy. It look like she was stressed out because of so many orders and she was trying to take it out on my little one. Not good at all, I get their stress everywhere during these times but that was so rude of her and it made my daughter feel sad. This new management is so rude and doesn’t show care for their customers like the previous owners. I have never wrote a review but the way she made my daughter feel really upset me.

This is by far my favorite take-out place! Highly recommend. Good food. Good service. Good people.

Kinja is a great teriyaki spot that has never disappointed! Coming from southern CA, lots of restaurants in the Tacoma area have been somewhat disappointing, but Kinja is our go to for a delicious dinner or lunch! Orange chicken, katsu, spicy chicken- all of it is done right!

Would definitely recommend! Best teriyaki in the area and reasonable prices. Fresh and and very well prepared
