I have been going to Chung Ki Wa for over 20 years and my last experience was the best. I love the staff and new owner. The taste has gotten ever better and very respectful staff.
Korean BBQ it is tonight, have not had it in while, it was a little sketchy looking when I seen the place, I was saying to myself...not sure if this is the cleanest looking place from the outside, but once I entered it was all good! We were seated immediately, the wait staff was not avoiding us as previous reviews indicated! The meat was very marinated and seasoned was not a fan of the shrimp I dont like eating food when the food is looking at me??♂️. I definitely recommend this restaurant if your in the Seattle Lakewood area come down a pay a visit ?
Best shrimp fried rice ive ever had - delicious strong pepper flavor.Went for the korean fried chicken. It was good but the fried rice is not to be overlooked.Great service. Very kind staff.
Food was good !! Was a lot better along time ago!!! But still love it!!! Great service!!!
Best Korean BBQ!heres the catch…. They limit the time you can eat… and after they drop a few plates of meat off, they avoid you to waste time.make sure you are assertive in getting your portions, cause they’ll avoid you.
Honestly went here with high expectations. I was very surprised with my experience over all. The service we, my wife and son were with me, had was very bad. The customers on both sides of us had great service but I had to constantly wave someone over for anything. People who were seated next to us but after us ordered prior to us. Over all the service was very bad. It may be a one off and I get that but wow.The food…. My pork was a mixed bag. My first three bites were wonderful the a large portion of the pork was not cooked well. It was not raw but soft and squishy while the properly cooked pieces tasted Smokey and like it came off a grill. With the proper amount of char to give texture without charcoal taste. I would give my food experience a 3 star as would my wife and son. The service was a one star which is why I made the over all a 2 star.I am sad to say this because my wife and I live close and I was looking forward to another good Korean restaurant to choose from.
I love it here. You know where else they don’t have a changing table…. Tons of places.
The menu is very deceiving, and the server was unclear about how the menu works. We were 3 people and ordered one appetizer and 2 entrées, wothout knowing that we are getting from the all you can eat. The server barely spoke English and didn't explain anything. When we got the check we were surprised to see the high charge.
Brisket was amazing pork belly was awesome shrimp were full bodied chicken was marinated. They brought us the American banchan which is fine. If you want more traditional stuff you will have to ask but they do have it. We had a lot of fun doing our Korean BBQ. Good experience even for the picky kid
The food is delicious whether you eat on the restaurant side or the BBQ side. There are unlimited white rice and side dishes (banchan). The restaurant side has meals averaging around $15 per person. The BBQ side starts at $25.99‐$35.99 per person for adults (see photos). The menu photos are for the BBQ side. (Nov. 2021)
