So far this is the best BBQ place I've found in the area. The ribs were nicely smoked and falling off of the bone. The burnt ends were also nicely smoked, you could see the smoke ring, moist and tender. The beans were good and I really liked chipolte slaw. It had a little kick but not too much. Will definitely be going back.
Pete's is a good place for barbecue. The consistency of the food quality is pretty good. I've never been disappointed by the food I've been served there. Pete's was always slightly more expensive than other options but it was a Splurge I enjoyed weekly. Unfortunately in January the prices on the menu went up around 25%. It was a surprising increase for my family. The food is good but the reality is I was already spending too much money there. The price increase has prevented me from returning for the last month. It's good food but until my paycheck goes up 25% I don't know how a family is supposed to absorb a price increase that dramatic. I understand you may need to raise the prices on meat but give families a break on things like soda and cornbread, they don't need to be $4. Hopefully I get a 25% raise so I can start eating here again.
Inconvenience for dashers. "Can you hit items so we can see what they ordered" but the bag is already sitting there ready so there was no point for checking for items if you've already prepared them and the food is just getting colder sitting there. Not my food not my problem but I know not to come back here because of the inconvenience as a dasher.
My brisket sandwich was dry it had flavor and a lot of meat but it was dry. I don't like that the Cole slaw was 12.99 for a small dipping sauce container. I was really shocked. There was nothing special about it for the side to cost that much. Bottom line the food is way over priced. My son's father said he did not like the service that he experienced while ordering. Like the lady did not want to be bothered with him. That's all he talked about while choking on his dry pull pork sandwich. ? Its really not funny, but seriously, this is not the best BBQ I've tasted. We probably won't be back.
If you love barbeque, this is good food, big portions. I had the quarter chicken meal with chili and slaw. You may want to split a plate, it will fill you up. If not, order more later. I couldn't find corn on the cobb on the menu. Order at the counter, then you're called up when ready by first name. Pretip, (I prefer after). Complimentary soft serve ice cream station.
The food here is a bit pricey but it is good. Makes up for my Texas bar que that I miss. Now normally when I get the brisket it's very tender, moist and flavorful. This time it was very dry and in my opinion not much flavor.I do like their loaded baked potato salad. 1-15-2022
Great BBQ for a reasonable price. Hands down some of the best barbecue sauces you'll find around.I took my parents out there, and everyone had nothing but praise for the food, atmosphere, and most importantly, the all you can eat ice cream! That's right, they've got a big soft serve machine with a dispenser for cones that is a delicious soft serve vanilla.
Way too expensive for what you get. You get a sandwich with no side. You pay for those separately (after seeing salad not work the money) There was more fat in my prime rib dip then actual meat. The bread was soaked through and mush. My husbands pulled pork and hot link was dry & cold. Salads had more wilted and brown lettuce than green and for the cost we got lettuce 4 croutons and a small dressing. My son refused to eat his food due to being cold and fatty. Some fat isn’t bad but when it over powers the actual meat that is ridiculous. One thing that was good was their horseradish. Other than that it was not worth the $72. Today we learned that this place isn’t what it once was!
BBQ Pete’s out of Lakewood. Ordered the Pete’s Feast to go. Service was quick. Packaging and presentation was really nice. People there are polite. Food was less than mediocre. Chicken wasn’t fully cooked and came out rubbery. Ribs were okay. Potato salad is too fancy. Slaw was good. Overly hyped on these reviews.
The price can be a little bit on the steep side but it's 100% worth it. If the price is too low it can make you question the quality of the meat. This place never disappoints. Most places can only get the meat or the sides right but this place does both. Plus free ice cream! This is the only place I will go for BBQ.
