So I was working in the area and I kept seeing this place... and not seeing a place like this in my area I decided to take some of the guys to lunch...Was a good choice...First thing I noticed walking in was how clean the place was.. not a thing out of place...that's a good sign...the people were very nice and took our order...we then found a place to sit and waited about 5 or so minutes and then our food came.I had the meatball sub with a side of chili and my co-worker had a Italian sandwich...my meal stayed hot throughout me eating which was awesome...lots of cheese covered the Meatballs just right and the bread was nice n fresh.... chili was very tasty and delicious... none of it lasted long...the Italian sub smelt great.All 4 of us really liked the place.. we all had a great experience and definitely worth the visit... I shall be back soon to try other things and get a seat outside.. looked cool out there.Thanks for the great service and food.Remember to support your local business for they are the backbone of your community.
Had a fairly big order for 8 people, all different sandwiches on a busy Saturday. Order was accurate and everyone (even 4 kids) loved their sandwishes--Not a single complaint!I was originally not going to order anything for myself. I was just going to place the order for everyone, but as soon as I walked up, the smell overwhelmed me and I got a half Philly Cheese--Loved it.I also appreciate that a "half" sandwich is exactly half the cost of a whole sandwich, and a half sandwich is plenty filling, but I might get a whole sandwich just so I can have a second meal.
We were in the area on Tuesday, 4/19, and decided to stop in. We used to eat at the old Meconi's from many years back, and they had the best sandwiches anywhere.I can't say that the sandwiches we had the other day, at Hawk's Prairie were anywhere close to resembling what Meconi's used to be known for.I ended up with one small, very thin piece of deli meat and one small piece of cheese at one end of the sandwich, then a TON of lettuce throughout the rest of the bun. It tasted like a lettuce sandwich. Horrible.Sad to see a once great business turn into THAT!
We spent over $60.00 for food. On sandwich did not have any of the meat in it that was ordered. We had to come back to the restaurant after we got home and discovered the lack of meet. When we went back there was no sense of customer service or a sense that they may have failed to deliver what was expected. The young woman at the counter seemed put out that I needed to have them help me get that which I paid for. So sad that their help there has no concept of service. Never will I darkened their door, nor could I endorse this place due to the lack of training on how the customer should be paid attention to. Sad commentary on help these days
Employees could not make any decisions with out bosses approval. Overcharged and they could not refund said the management would call me tomorrow. Time will tell if I just got robbed!
Looks like I'm the TENTH person to complain about HOW RUDE the manager is. ? She got our order wrong then yelled at my husband to put his mask on WHILE HE WAS SIPPING ON A MILKSHAKE! Obviously making a mistake on an order would be too hard to admit. Or fix for that matter. Seriously I've never met a crappier human working as a manager. She also treated the employees like trash. Bet she's super fun after hours said nobody ever.
I came here for lunch and ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Salad, which chicken. It was out of this world!!!They're really good about customizing your order, and I'm not a fan of peppers and olives. They removed them no problem.I'm really looking forward to going here again soon!
The lady at the front counter is rude as hell. We will never be back after 20 years of loyal service. She can’t take a simple order and definitely cannot take criticism. Fire this horrible employee before you lose more customers.
I asked for toasted Philly cheese steak sandwich. The person that took my order assured me that it will be toasted. The sandwich i received was not toasted. Either the counter person did inform the sandwich maker or he just assumed that all their sandwich are toasted. I wish that whatever the customer asked will be forwarded to the person that's preparing the product it doesn't matter how small it is.
These people are rude and their food is sub par. Safe to say I’ll never be back. The lady at the hawks prairie store has some sort of power complex as she screamed at me to put my mask over my nose. Won’t ever be back.
