We've eaten here many many times. A favorite for anytime breakfast and quality food after 9pm. Today was our first not-stellar experience (something wasn't packaged in a great way) and I gave them a call just to let them know the quality on the receiving end wasn't great. I didn't even request a replacement and even said it was fine. The folks on the phone were so understanding and not only did they replace the dish but they comp'ed the meal and offered a casino credit. So far above and beyond - solidified as a top notch place for food AND service.
Not overly impressed with the food. BBQ pork had no flavor. The salmon tasted like it was on the verge of being spoiled. Was not worth the prices charged. Won't be back.
Rae was our server and she was amazing. Our kid flipped her lid about sharing a box with us and she was sweet and got her a different box for the kids pizza. Very friendly!! Food and drinks were delicious. Prices were great!! A relaxing environment for dinner with the family.
My mistake thinking this was the same restaurant I ate at several years ago and had good service and food as well. When we got there, the place looked different and come to find out, the original Hawks Prairie Restaurant had been sold off for the land it was on. We went in anyway and even though they weren't busy, we were told that they were down to one waitress, that one had just walked out, but another was on the way in so it would be a short wait for a table. The wait was about 10 minutes then we were told to seat ourselves at any table; plenty were available. About 10 minutes later, someone came by and set menus on our table but did not ask if we wanted anything to drink. Another 20 minutes went by without any other interaction with anyone; no apologies, nothing. I told my wife we could go somewhere else and get service faster than if we waited around here. So, we got up and left. It was pretty clear, short-handed or not, that taking care of their patrons was low on their list of priorities.
Food was great, but the waitress seemed to rush us out. Didn't ask if we wanted anything else, just handed us the check. Place was completely empty. We weren't done. Work on your customer service. Won't be back because we didn't feel welcome.
There was a waiting line this day. We entered with my brother (who is in a wheel chair) and sister-in-law. Both security at the door and the server were very attentive to our needs. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced. Quality all the way! THANK YOU.
Salmon was perfectly delicious and the rice pilaf was tasty. The broccoli portion was large and cooked just right. I will definitely stop again I come to town.
