I lived in this neighborhood 17 years ago and frequented this Happy Teriyaki every Friday for nearly 12 years.Sometimes things don’t live up to your memories. That is NOT the case here. Nothing has changed and that is ridiculously great news. The food is every bit as good as I remember and the service is fantastic. As a restaurant owner myself, I know how hard it can be to maintain excellence consistently. They still have that in spades.I cannot recommend any restaurant more (except maybe my own lol)Thank you Happy T for the great memories and exceeding them still today!
So they say they are open till 10pm we went in at 8:45pm they told us that they stop doing dine in at 9:00pm but being 15min till 9 they still refused to let us dine it. Nowhere is it posted that they stop serving dine it at 9pm. When I told them is wasn't 9pm yet they game me a big attitude and threatened to not serve me. Will not be going back. I will not recommend this location as they were rude and not customer service driven.
The chicken bento box was old. Chicken was dry and stale. Bulgolgi portion extremely small and it appears I got the tail end of what was left in the kitchen. Tiny portion of rice but with the sukiyaki the meal came with a very large portion of rice. Sukiyaki not authentic and watery. Server forgot the beer with the meal. For over $40 it was not a great tasting meal. Won't come back despite all the good reviews.
We were looking for a place serving what could pass as a home cooked meal, and here we found it. With generous portions and a variety of combos, this is a working person's meal; sometimes you don't want anything fancy and just need a plate of comfort. The teriyaki is perfectly grilled and doused with sauce - though it may be a little sweet for some (ask for less sauce). Side vegetables are a hearty stir fry as opposed to a simple lettuce salad. The secret here is the sukiyaki however; arriving in a pot with a variety of toppings and thin sliced beef on glass noodles, this is the dish that will have you coming back.
This is seriously one of the best teriyaki places I've been to. The prices were decent, food portions were generous, the chicken was tender and the teriyaki sauce was out of this world!I am glad they were still open, as they turned off their open sign early, at about 9:30. We had already missed out on Quiznos & Cafe Yumm today, but this totally made up for it!!! ?
Definitely not a place I would eat at again. Staff was rude and unhelpful and the price doesn't match the quality of food. The tables and seats are falling apart and ants crawl over them. I found more than one long hair in my food, and had to pull it out of my throat like that one scene in the Ring! Disgusting!I'm seriously considering seeing what I can do to get the health department involved. I would NOT reccomend eating at this specific Happy Teriyaki, for your health.
Have been going here for years, I’ve tried just about everything on their menu and the Hot Chicken Teriyaki with gyoza and fried rice has to be the best, the spicy yakisoba is a close runner up. It’s a great local restaurant, my Uncle’s favorite place to eat out as well. Thanks for always serving great dishes over the years.
Worst food poisoning of my life. Thought I was going to die in the ER. I hadn’t ate breakfast or anything so I decided to stop here for a quick meal. If only I had known what would happen next. I just gave birth a month ago and was so dehydrated they could barely get a vein. Do not eat here! For the love of god I am never eating out again after this.
Food was great as always. The employees are super helpful and the food comes out hot fresh and quick. We always enjoy going to this location and if found the other ones to not be as good as this one. Always high on my recommendation list!
Well it was 945 when we were ordering we asked what came in the crab cheese won tons server said I don't know didn't offer to ask cook nothing it was I don't know she was rushing us so fast if you close at 10:00 you should get to order till ten or close at 930. On the positive the food was great!!
