Came here on Saturday night because the reviews said it was really good. Wait isn’t bad but it says a full bar and then they didn’t have two simple drinks. The chips were incredibly stale. We ordered the guacamole as an app and asked if he wouldn’t mind getting us fresh chips with it. It arrived in about 60 seconds so we knew they weren’t. And they weren’t lol. We both ordered different burritos and he delivered them with new chips saying the others were from “the bottom of the bucket” nonetheless these weren’t good either.I took two bites of my burrito and the taste was so bad I couldn’t continue. Neither could my friend as the meat in both tasted sour. We both set them aside and because we are both scared of seeming rude we didn’t say anything more. I was hoping the waiter would see we ate zero of our food and offer something but he didn’t care at all. Owell, just won’t be back and genuinely wouldn’t recommend.
So there is no doubt this is the best Mexican food in the area however thowever their management and ability to turn out orders has declined significantly.. Constant mistakes on orders especially take out lead to a lot of very stressful situations. It seems that dawn the owner is not around much anymore and I think that's part of the problem. He has another restaurant in California maybe he is there. I wish he were around more that things like this would not happen . Hopefully they can change their ways
The food was great and fast friendly service . I enjoyed every bit of the experience there . I will be going there often now . It's hard to find a good place to eat thats not fast food . I'm very happy with this place . I will be telling my friends about it too .
This was our first visit to the new location I'm sad to say. The place looks amazing! Don Garcia is always there smiling and greeting. Food is great everytime, fresh and tasty!
Great service, good food, reasonable prices, cold beer, great ambience inside with black and white movie posters and family photos above wooden backed booths carved with agave farm scenes.It fits the market and is only one of very few non-franchise options on this side of town. Happy they're here!
Placed a phone ordered for pick up, asked them to confirm price after relaying the order; $27 for Regular size burrito, four tacos and some rice and beans. Did not leave a tip and was still charged $37.00 instead of what was originally stated on the phone, $27… Street tacos didn’t even have cilantro and the fish and chicken were in the same carry out container. Rice and beans weren’t even warm. Definitely wont be back.
I wanted to love this, but $42 later I ordered the Birria taco meal to go, and received 3 very small, in uncooked corn tortillas ?, with chewy Carne asada, and with no cheese cooked in or broth to dip the taco in. Maybe I had the wrong idea of what a birria taco was supposed to be, but these were gross. They did give me a ton of stale chips thoughI have been to many other places in the area that serve what I thought were supposed to be Birria tacos, and they're cooked and way better. I'm bummed, I wanted to love this place.
This is the best Mexican resturaunt around!!!! We just went for my dads birthday. They have the best service as well as food Thank you Don Garcia and crew. We will be back for our shrimp enchiladas en crema again!!!
We have gone here before many times and had excellent customer service. And food.We went here on 2/20/2022 in the early afternoon and experienced the worst service and poor quality food ever. We waited 49 minutes for our food. Only two of us. And a one year old. Didn’t get an extra plate as we asked for. My wife is deathly allergic to guacamole, we told the waiter no guacamole. Both plates had guacamole on them.We will never ever come back again. It’s too bad because we really liked this establishment.
Stopped in for dinner after hearing lots of word-of-mouth reviews raving about how great Don Garcia’s restaurant is- we were not disappointed at ALL.The service is very quick and efficient, staff is kind, and Mr. Garcia is an amazing owner taking the time to come out to the floor and check in with his guests.Fine dining tastes in a friendly neighborhood environment! We will be back.
