Venue and service: Small, neat and clean. It's the only restaurant in that strip mall with an Excellent Food Safety Rating. Currently takeout only but steadily busy with orders by phone and walk-in. On my first visit, there was one solo person doing everything from taking nonstop orders to cooking and packaging food. I returned to the restaurant 20 minutes after ordering and waited outside for the three people in line to finish ordering, but my food was brought out to me. I've visited again and the service is consistently attentive.Food: Served with the standard mix of crunchy vegetables and fluffy rice that teriyaki lovers expect. What sets the tofu teriyaki here apart from several other teriyaki restaurants in the Puget Sound area is:1.) the sauce has a smooth, light flavor and isn't too salty2.) the rice is topped by a katsu-style tofu filetNo need to waste leftovers. The tofu crisps nicely reheated in an air fryer or toaster oven; the rest can be reheated in the microwave.

Flavor was fine... but this had been the only teriyaki spot that has out me on the toilet curled up in pain immediately after eating. Ouch. Written from said toilet.

My go to local teriyaki shop. Portions are always good and food is delicious.

I would have rated it a 6 star establishment but it wasn't available.

Absolutely the WORST teriyaki I've ever tasted. Took my work crew in for lunch and all were so disappointed that we ate half and tossed the rest. $65 of inedible greasy, fat-filled nasty tasting meat. HARD PASS

Teriyaki Chicken: Lean chicken (no visible fat), cooked perfectly, generous portions!

Great service, clean restaurant, so friendly!

Food is ok.However, have you heard the news? Restaurants are allowed to open 100% capacity for dining in. Not coming back to sheep’s stables

Not a great service at all, male cashier rude and grumpy when I asked for sauce. Chiken tasted bad. I do not recommend it and not coming back.

If you have fond memories of the old Toshi's, don't expect to find those flavors. The beef was very lean, tiny bits, spread over the rice. The veggie portion was like a very fine cole slaw, good, but not like the amazingly fresh salad at the old Toshi's. The sauce was good, but they included less than a tablespoon of it. Hardly enough to flavor a third of it.
