The cake literally had no flavor other than butter, and not in a good way. We had to throw away a $100 6" birthday cake (minus 2 small slices). I'm so disappointed in their cake. I would not recommend their cakes - you're better off with a grocery store cake - at least those are edible. $100 down the drain.

4.50 for a cake pop that I threw away because my daughter said “yuk” I tasted it myself and I tasted 0 flavor but pure sugar :(

Our wedding cake from Sweet Cakes was the best cake that either of us has ever had! It was delicious and incredible. We highly recommend Sweet Cakes for weddings and special occasions. Dena (the owner) is so very thoughtful and kind and she worked patiently with us as we decided the quantities and kinds of desserts that we wanted to serve. We ended up ordering a small cutting cake for ourselves and a variety of cupcakes and dessert bars for our guests. The desserts were amazing and our dessert table looked so elegant. Dena did a phenomenal job! She showed up and set up our entire dessert table and returned to box up the leftovers so that our guests could take desserts home. She also had a box of treats delivered to our hotel room, which was very sweet. Thank you for being such a pleasure to work with Dena!

Food was decent. Quite average.

I rarely post any reviews, but want to give 5 stars to Sweet Cakes bakery for their amazing desserts, friendly atmosphere, and a big variety of desserts (including gluten-free and vegan)!Recently I tried holiday breads (pumpkin, cranberry-orange, and banana) and all of them were amazing - not too sweet (which is very important for me), moist, with beautiful flavors and textures! My absolutely favorite was a pumpkin bread and I highly recommend you to try this one!All employees of Sweet Cakes are very positive and friendly; and I am very impressed by fresh flowers in the bakery and beautiful dessert table as a display. Everything about this bakery creates a nice mood and I will be happy to come there again!

I got the feeling that the staff were not invested in the customer experience at all. We asked about the menu on the wall and it was like pulling teeth to get a response that was more than one syllable. Finally someone in the back said their menu wasn’t accurate (which is also a mystery since you can always tape over items that you don’t plan to sell). We never did get a good answer about the whoopie pies. Does anyone know what we have to do to get one? Are they only made during certain times? Have they been canceled? Why is it so weird to ask this question??We ended up getting a couple of bars and cupcakes to try. Cupcake tasted ok if a bit dry (is it a side effect of being gluten free?). Bars leaned on the sweet side.

Tried this place twice before posting this review. Felt the desserts were decent!! Ordered different desserts the each time - Red velvet cupcake felt way too chewy and fake. Caramel brownie was decent but was toooooo sugary so the taste was all about sugar than any flavors, Chocolate tart was flavorless and same goes for chocolate cupcake. There are much better places to have a good dessert. Even Starbucks will be better than this one!! Wanted to really like the place.

My wife has been trying to order our daughter a cake for her first birthday from this bakery. She called them in August to confirm their dairy free options (our daughter has a severe dairy and soy allergy), and then sent them a request through their website. They said all they needed was two weeks notice. Last week on the 15th she finally decided on what she wanted the cake to look like, sent them a detailed email with photos of similar designs to go off of (a one tiered 8in, dairy free vanilla or chocolate cake with light pink fondant in a cushion design) to be done by October 2nd. We didn't get a response until the 17th, double checking that we wanted it in fondant not icing, and after confirming immediately, we didn't hear back for several days (the 23rd), and that was only after she called and the person on the phone passed along the message. The response we got was that they would check with their fondant decorator that they would be able to get it done, woke up this morning (the 25th) and saw an email that their decorator wouldn't be able to get it done by that date. Offered no other options or gave us an estimate of when they could have it done by after that. My wife was really disappointed because after several word of mouth praises about their dairy free options, as well as google searches about them (their awards and what not), she knew she wanted this bakery to do it. I think if there hadn't been such a delay in responses that there may have been enough time, or would have at least been able to give us enough time to find a bakery able to do the fondant design by next Saturday. I'm sure they're a wonderful bakery, just not the greatest at communicating with custom orders, and because of that we had to find a bakery that is thankfully able to have it done by next Saturday, but without the custom design my wife wanted to make our daughters birthday as memorable as possible.

The tart crust is super hard. You can get much better one with less price from a grocery.

Absolutely incredible!I am at a complete loss for words at how amazing these folks are! They made my a gem wedding cake for us and it was literally the prettiest cake I have ever seen!I did several cake tastings but Dena and her team were the best to work with! From the presentation of her cake tasting to the warmth and kindness in her approach! I knew instantly that she was the one I wanted to work with! I had gone to so many cake tastings but no one was as personable and kind as Dena was! From the taste, to the presentation, to the personal touch by giving us a cake stand to use! Sweet cakes is off the charts amazing!I highly highly recommend them!I personally vouch for them! Here is a pic from my phone that doesn’t do justice to how gorgeous it was in person!
