A pretty good place with decent classics at an okay price. A little spendy and not terribly unique but it's a reliable level of quality and taste which will take care of your fish and chip needs reliably. Good for a hot summer day while walking near the water. Maybe not worth a specific trip.
The fish is great, but not good enough to justify the price. AND They charge $3.30 for a FOUNTAIN DRINK ?! What the …?
Really good fish and chips as always!! Please please please give Spuds some extra love and support. My husband and I just witnessed (today’s date 1/27/2022) two men coming in grabbing and running off with Spud’s tip jar!!! Absolutely despicable and reprehensible!!!! I hope Spud’s cameras can identify the men, but for now I hope some people read this and give some extra support to a wonderful business. ?
A bit disappointed have been going to Spuds for over 40 years. Last visit I was unaware it was under new ownership. Tartar sauce has always been home onsite now jarred else where way to much lemon. The fish was adequate but the coating had to much corn meal. You should have bought the recipes….
Over priced, not fresh/frozen food. 8 bucks + tax for this? Friendly staff
Great to see the legacy of this restaurant still being honored. Still the standard by which other fish and chip places are compared to. A nice treat for sure.
I'm normally not so hard on restaurants, but $10.20 for barely more than a handful of shrimp tossed in Franks Red Hot is insane. Not even fries at this price. The rest of the family enjoyed their food, but some of their portions were on the small side for the price as well.
Get the Cajun sauce to go with your fish instead of tartar. Thank me later.
Great food. Clean place!! Thank you
Good fresh sea food but your going to pay for it. Two piece cod very very small fries very small drink for about 20 bucks.
