My wife and I have been dining at Cafe Veloce since 1996. 26 years later it's still a gem. On Sunday evening we brought a friend to celebrate her 85th birthday and were waited on by "David R." He took a wonderful evening and blew it over the moon. His good humor, excellent service and attentiveness made this an exceptional experience.As always, the food was excellent and the wines superb. Keep up the good work. Cafe Veloce is a restaurant we recommend to anyone who appreciates good dining in a welcoming atmosphere.
Our experience was not great. Rushed to our table, then waitress never offered to take a drink order. Wine list is very skimpy on the Italian wines. We were a party of 4, shared a Bruschetta that was more like a Greek pizza. I've never in my life had an Eggplant Parmigiana that was served by itself with 2 green peppers on the side, zero pasta. Service was very lackluster. One of our party got their dish a full 15 minutes after the rest of us had been served, with the waitress avoiding eye contact with us the entire time, barely a "sorry". It was Chicken Scampi, but really it was a watery sauce that looked like garlic, cream and hot water. Rather tasteless. All in all, it was rushed and not all that great. The only good thing was it did not cost a fortune.
I've been here numerous times and this quickly became my favorite restaurant in the area. In brief - the food is always amazing, and the staff is always courteous and professional. I even ordered takeout today to see if the quality of food would be different, and to my surprise it was still just as good.I very highly recommend this place to anybody visiting the area. Please tip your servers well, they work very hard here.
Found this Italian, hole in the wall restaurant. I cannot fully describe how wonderful this place is. Most authentic, fresh and most delicious Italian food I have ever had. I am Italian and it has been a struggle to find genuine Italian food until now. The atmosphere was inviting, warm and relaxing. Our waitress, Kathryn was kind, extremely helpful and attentive. Food was beyond compare. Prices were more than fair for the generous portions you get. We will definitely be returning.
This Italian place is themed with differently than other restaurants. It has bikes ? even at the front door there is statue which may not look like one if you don’t pay attention!To start with we got some Italian Strawberry soda, vanila soda for drinks which was amazing. For food we got Bruschetta, pesto garlic bread as appetizers - both turned out to be yummy ?. For main course we had Eggplant Parmesan, Primavera- Tricolor Spirelli Pasta, Lamb Parmesan and Chicken Scampi. Entire order was served piping hot and service was fantastic. The vibe of restaurant is good to have a nice outing and staff is welcoming and quick to get orders out of kitchen even on busy Friday night. I would highly recommend this place. Totally worth the price !! ?
This place has literally been here forever, which means they're doing something right in such a popular area. We ordered the Beef Bolognese and Lamb Lasagna. You know when you take your first bite of a dish and it tastes high quality, homemade, and is instantly comforting? That is what Cafe Veloce delivers. Don't expect a super fancy environment, which we liked since we came after work to celebrate my birthday. Jeans work great! We also ordered the lemincello martini and basil gin cocktail which were strong enough for us and SO delicious! The free bread and garlic spread was great and the chocolate cake was deliciously decadent, perfect for sharing.
A really excellent Italian. Its busy so you know why, its really good. Lunch menu is excellent. Atmosphere is just right ^ the service is about right. The food however is excellent. Any dish, they're all good but their Minestrone is perfect.
Café Veloce is one of my favorite restaurants in Kirkland. The staff is wonderful, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is so unique. My husband and I came here yesterday for a birthday celebration. Our server, Martin, was so attentive, kind, and genuine. He went above and beyond throughout our dinner and truly made us feel special. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
This is one of our special occasion places. It was the first meal I had after my baby boy and our first date leaving baby boy with someone. They have so many good things. We'd get it more often, but they don't deliver. Or not to us.
Great place for a group meet. Good food great drinks.
