My son took me to Azteca for Mother’s Day since Azteca is one of my favorite places to eat. Not only are their food really good but it’s not overly priced like other restaurants. Love the chips & salsa! I was really bummed out when they closed the Bellevue location so I go to the Kirkland location now. Friendly & quick service as well.
This was the worst ever Mexican cuisine food We ever tasted. The service was so poor. The guy who served us didn’t seem to care at all. He threw the napkin on table instead gently placing it. Upon serving the food he was so rude placing the plates. On top of that food was just so bland . Worst than hospital food. We all ordered different stuff but unfortunately it was same boiled veggies with no sauce or spice in it, just different style.fajitas upon arrival were already cold no sizzling sound or steam coming out from tray which simply means our order came to us way later than it was prepared. The chicken dish I ordered supposed to be in jalapeño sauce. It has no kick of jalapeño at all. Completely bland tasteless food. We didn’t even finish the food because it was so horrible. Never going back . It supposed to be my birthday dinner with my girlfriends. We couldn’t even dare to order desert just thinking how horrible it could be. Also upon asking for salsa verde they gave me warm verde sauce. No one brought us water either. Very horrible experience. The waiter made us feel so awkward. Not welcoming to the restaurant. Never ever going back to Azteca Kirkland.
I’m not sure who is running this restaurant but the manager and the host, I assume, were not very willing to remake my order correctly or the way I ordered. I understand that third party services are responsible for refund (DD, Gh) but when I asked could they possibly remake the order the way I intended there was a long pause and the manager sounded unsure. Prior to me asking the manager this I spent a few minutes going back and forth with the other employee, explaining why I would just rather have my food remade and that I would bring the food back then try and receive a refund when I intended on eating there in the first place. Finally the big boss answered yes he could remake it however he could not have it sent, I then realized that I’ll never eat there again due to the fact I now understand how my food was made incorrectly with no remorse and why it took them so long to agree to remake my food and why I had to suggest this in the first place. $30 dollar lunch down the drain and now I will be driving myself to a place that will have more respect for hungry working from home customers. I am vegan and all I wanted was authentic veggie fajitas :(. I only ordered out to treat my self for my most recent career achievements.. anyways thanks for listening.
Ordered delivery excepting to get some good food. The entrees were bland and not as described. The only thing good was the queso dip, bit definitely not worth 10+ dollars, more like 5 or 6 dollars. The container was less than 1/2 full. The rest of the food had no flavor. Paid over $50.00 for food that tasted like it came from Taco Bell. Would not recommend!!! Save your money!
We've been eating at this Azteca since moving here in March. The food is consistently good, but today when I asked about getting queso on top of enchiladas instead of the red sauce I was informed that I'd be charged for a full queso dip ($9). That's a significant up charge for something that should have been simple. I've never ever had this problem with any other Mexican food restaurant in this area or anywhere else I've lived.
Had the chicken fajitas and the al pastor tacos. The al pastor was overcooked but the chicken fajitas was perfect. Their free chips and salsa was good as well! The place is not cheap, each dish was about $16-18. Overall, it's a good place for a sit-down Mexican place but I wouldn't repeat considering there's plenty of Mexican options with great food around.
We forgot they were within a county that showing your vaccine card is required. Thankfully we had ours. The service was fantastic. The food with the specifications I have to have for health reasons. The manager came by, checked on us and removed the plates we had finished and filled our drinks.
Restaurant was not crowded. They checked our vax cards. Waitstaff was very helpful and friendly. Food was quite good, especially guacamole appetizer. Good ambience. Family friendly. Hughly recommended.
Lunch was great but drinks not so good
We’ve been going to Azteca for years. Love the food and service. We recommend the arroz con pollo, enchiladas, steak fajitas, sopa de pollo (chicken and vegetable soup) and sopapillas for dessert (ask for it topped with vanilla ice cream). They give you free chips and salsa. Tip: you can ask for warm refried beans with your chips at no additional cost. It’s a huge restaurant with plenty of space, both indoors and out.Vaccine mandate: They require vaccination or negative test result. They quickly glanced at our negative test results.
