I used the app and ordered ahead. The food was not ready at the time that it was suppose to be. About 12 minutes later, I received a notice that my order was on the way out. After another 10 minutes, I went up to the building and flagged down an employee. She was able to go in and retrieve the order. The burger was no longer warm. The tots and the slushy were fine. Ordering ahead did nothing to speed up the order. I should have just gone through the drive through.
Came her tonight and waited about 15 minutes before we were helped. After I repeated our order with two different people I attempted to pay and there card reader wasn’t working in the carport. I informed them and they said someone would come out. I told them stall number two and then someone came out and proceeded to talk to stall 3. I informed them they had the wrong car and said we were in stall 2 not the car they tried to have pay for our order. The employee walked away. I waited another five minutes and no one ever came back. Ended up pressing the red button again and no one answered. Ended up leaving without any food. Very poor customer service.
I have to admit this trip was the best by far out here in Washington. Our food was fresh and hot and not really a long wait. All our food had a really good flavor to it. No regrets later in the evening either lol. We felt like we were back home in Tennessee at one of their sonic drive-ins and it felt good to have that again. Thank you Kent, WA Sonic for a great meal!!!!!
So I’m starting this review with some backstory. My mom, brother and son went to this Sonic back in late March. They waited in line for an hour if not longer. Their order was messed up when it finally came so they had to wait even longer for them to fix it while everyone behind them was getting their food. They were given a coupon for two free combos for the inconvenience. She gave this to us as we live closer to this location and go there frequently. We had it for awhile and yesterday was decided to use it for dinner. We were in line for a long time then as well. We got to the window and gave them the coupon. The person at the window said that the manager that issued the coupon was no longer there and they couldn’t do anything about it. They asked us what date my mom came in. We didn’t know the exact date at the time but guessed sometime in April. They asked for her name and got this manager binder that was filled out by managers when they gave a discount or coupons like what my mom was given. They said my mom’s name wasn’t on there and that they couldn’t do anything. I even called my mom on Messenger to have her tell them what happened and they still say they couldn’t do anything. We ended up driving away because they were rude and unhelpful. I pulled up my mom’s bank statement on the way back home and found the exact date and we turned back around. Her name was still not on the binder and they referred us to the General Manager. To say we are disappointed in the way that we were treated is an understatement. It wasn’t our fault that the manager who issued the coupon is no longer there. This wasn’t a coupon that we made and brought in to try to scam them. THEY gave it to us for an inconvenience THEY caused. And they weren’t willing to honor it or give us another one to replace the one we couldn’t use because it wasn’t documented in some binder? What kind of customer service is that? We love Sonic but this left a really poor impression in us. Oh and to the “manager” who was rude and not helpful at all, be better. A customer service class for them would help. People like them shouldn’t be a manager.
We went the first week they opened and it was terrible. We have seen the reviews and can't imagine how this place stays open. Sonic sees these reviews and literally does nothing.Thanks for the bot reply to escalate to the franchise owner. If you are really concerned about your brand wouldn't you be the one to remedy this? Why is it my responsibility to correct your problem? Do you care about your franchise fees or your brand? This location is a stain to our community.
We arrived at the drive thru at 9:40 when we asked for the double bacon cheeseburger, the girl on the other end told us “we close in 20 minutes so we aren’t doing bacon” although google & the receipt say open until 12am! They were extremely rude, interrupting us while we ordered, food was all cold, our mozzarella sticks were hard in the middle, cheese on burgers wasn’t melted, and burgers were smashed. Customer service definitely needs improvement.
These people are so incompetent at their jobs and rather joke around and make fun of us. We went through the drive through first and then said that our card was declined after multiple times of closing the door on us. So we ordered online and waited for our food. And after waiting for like 10 minutes, we got our food ans everything was so salty. And the guy who gave us our food was so rude and clearly hated working there. On top of all that, they forgot our shake we ordered and gave attitude after we came through the drive through again. Will not go to this kent location again. Learn to do your job its not that hard.
This has got to be the worst Sonic location in the country. I can put up with a rude person at the window (several times), mistakes in the order (several times), being overcharged for condiments (charged for three when I asked for and got two), and cold food, but THIS is beyond belief. This thing was in my daughter's hot dog kid's meal (for those wondering what it is, or used to be).
Got a hot fudge sundae the other night and it was great. Fudge on top and in the bottom. From the first taste to the last you knew it was hot fudge! Tonight I ordered the caramel sundae. Was on my way home so as I was eating it. Just tasted vanilla ice cream and whip cream. When home and went inside all that you could see was a small bit of caramel on the bottom. I thought I’d give a call to pass along. The person I spoke with said that was how they were supposed to be made and if I wanted on the top too should have requested. Well I did not request my hot fudge sundae be made that way. I think they missed the point of me saying there was just a bit of caramel in the sundae. Hope that improves.
Hamburgers taste ok. The only thing really good is the ice cream products. We ordered a fry for like $4 and got 13 small fries in a large size container that seemed like the fries where way over cooked or left in the oil for to long.
