The foods are excellent! This restaurant is one of my favorite in Kent-Des Moines so far! Therefore, I will support this local restaurant ???
I ordered pho from Uber eats. After 15 minutes, the app told me the food is ready, so I went to pick it up, but it was not. So I waited another 20 minutes in the restaurant. Food is okay, so bad.
After being trapped indoors for several months during the Pandemic, I was extremely excited to get back out into the world and sit down for a good meal somewhere other than my home. The first couple places, I dined at, quickly calmed me down with bad food and disappointing service. Nevertheless, I was determined to find something delicious and somewhere new. One morning, on my way to the Fred Meyers by my hotel, I noticed a sign for Pho on the Freddy's windows. I was a little confused, "Was Fred Meyer's serving Pho?". I was intrigued and quickly forgot about grocery shopping as I made a bee line to the "Pho Luu" entrance. I stepped into an enourmous dining room, open and airy, clean and well kept, immediately I was greeted by a friendly gentlemen, possibly an owner. I knew I wanted Pho, and thats what I ordered. As I patiently waited for my food, I knew in my heart, just by looking around at this cool place I was going to get something delicious. And IT WAS AMAZING! I am a visitor to Washington, a Portlander my whole life who has been spoiled by all the amazing Pho places in PDX, and this place was spot on. The broth was super hot, clear and light, packed with flavor. The meat was perfectly cooked, cooking in the broth as it arrived at my table. I was having a moment. This is a moment I had craved for a year of quarantine. Perfection. So good, I had to write this long review. So good, that I am hoping you will treat yourself to a bowl and any of the other incredible dishes they serve. This place needs a bigger brighter sign! It is truly a hidden gem. It would make an excellent place for a large group to dine. Their terriyaki is fantastic too! Reasonably priced for the level of authenticity in the flavors and decor. A+++
I tried the spicy noodle soup and the pork sandwich. One word: AMAZINGGGGG!!!! Highly recommend this for anyone who wants to try the authentic taste of Vietnamese food. If you have never tried the original taste before, please don’t spread the wrong fact about the food. Don’t yuck my yum!! Also, I think many people got offended when they were not welcomed when they entered the restaurant at CLOSING TIME, but please people understand for them. They have to clean up the entire restaurant, not only your table when you finish. Anyways, it was such a great meal for me as a fist time costumer.
Noodles were over cooked. Broth tasted like they just boiled chicken stock from Safeway and added fish sauce and charged me $15 for it. I've tried many Pho place in the area and this place is the only one that I didn't like.
Store hours aren't posted correctly, the two girls up front looked at each other and decided they weren't open for me. Even though there were people seated, more important to close up than serve a first time visitor. Last time visitor.
They have a little bit of everything! We started with spring rolls and gyoza. My husband had the shrimp bento box and I had chicken pad thai. It was all delicious and we are bringing enough leftovers home for another meal.
It's nice ambiance calm.Extra delicious ?Clean, fast. Will definitely recommend.
Best sandwiches I've had. Soft delicious bread and the meat is so flavorful. The best costumer service. As well. I highly recommend
One word. QUALITY.Everything was fresh and tasty. We had the Special Pho, Pork Sandwich, and the Beef Stew. They use quality ingredients and have fair prices. I feel good eating their food! Definitely a new regular spot for me.
