Their food truck came by my work and when I saw guava on the menu, I had to try it. The Guava & cheese taqueños were amazing!!The Papabowl was good too but it's not easy to find desserts made with guava paste ?I just found out they have brick & mortar locations, so I know where I'm stopping for dinner tomorrow! I need to try the arepas next, and of course more guava and cheese tacqueños! ❤️❤️❤️
Paparepas food truck catered a staff event for my work and they did a fantastic job! Their food is delicious and they are super kind and thoughtful people. Would recommend!!
Had the shredded beef and chicken arapes they where very good, super cheesy. The cheese empanada was really. The super star for me was the guava and cheese tequeños. I do wish they had a bit more meat but other than that no complaints. Girl at store was very nice and helpful.
Best place I've found for authentic Venezuelan food (definitely best locally, and better than others I've been at in San Diego, Utah, Oregon, and on par or better than New York).Arepas and empanadas are crisp on the outside, and the filling is delicious. The cilantro sauce is great (we called it Guasacaca). The tostones had a good mix of toppings and the plantains had a great texture (we put avocado from the arepas on them as well and it was a great mix). The juice has great flavor and is much better than the canned stuff at other places. The tequeños have great texture and flavor on the breading, and the closest to the Venezuelan cheese I've found outside of the country. They also have other national dishes like ayacas and pabellón that I'm looking forward to trying!
Ordered a bowl. The guy dished it up in a small take out box. Someone else came up from the back and started to make the order in a full size bowl as shown on the menu. The first guy stopped her and pointed to my small box which he then handed me. Bottom line: he ripped me off. It was not a satisfying meal.
The beef is absolutely incredible, if you don't get the spicy cilantro sauce with it, you're doing yourself a disservice, not a lot of heat but the perfect amount so it's not going to overpower the other flavors. Absolute must try if you see their red food truck by you.
These were the best empanadas I’ve ever eaten outside of Latin America, hands down. The crust was fantastic—flaky and not greasy. We had 3 different fillings and they were all tasty and flavorful. I’m tracking the food truck now.
Yum! My pabellon, beef arepa, chicken & cheese empanada, and guava tequenos were good. I'd skip the Malta drink next time because of the taste and price. I took it as a good sign that several Latino patrons came in to order food
I've never had Venezuelan food, so I have nothing to compare it to- but it was exceptional. The ground corn breading is sooooo good!! The pork, the arepas, the empanadas!! I would ask for an extra couple packets of their spices cilantro sauce next time, or buy a whole bottle- cause I would dip anything in that sauce ???
Simply the best! I love their beef and cheese empanadas. As well as their guava tequeños. And of course, can’t forget to order Malta and Frescolita for drinks.
