I came in by myself I ordered the chicken with chili sauce and I ordered fried pork dumplings with chives. I asked for a glass of water and the waiter brought me a bottle of water I asked if there was a fee for that he said yes I said well I don’t want it but he never brought me back a glass of water. The photo of the cold chicken it looks a lot bigger on the menu than it is in real life. I also had the dumplings and I’ve had a little bit of an upset stomach since I ate there.
saw the place while shopping in the center. So had to try it.Ambience was nice for a Chinese restaurant and the staffed were very friendly. You get to see in the kitchen and see them making the soup dumpling.we order the Pork Soup Dumpling that was hand made. Unfortunately the flavor was ok and the meat was a little hard. I think they should put more fat in to it and add some veg too. But there is soup in it so be careful when you get it. But then the dish got COLD too fast. Also we order the Pork Bum it came in 6 pack that was pretty good. Wish it had more bamboo in it so it will taste better.Green onion pancake was not so good. Some part are BURNED and some part are not COOKED and it came out so OILY.Probably will not be back.
It was really goodOn par with dough zonePanfried mama’s dumplings were bomb but doesn’t have the soup and is very doyghyXLB well madeSpicy wonton isn’t as good as dtF but still bomb
My daughter and I went there one day and were absolutely satisfied by the food and service. We went back a second time, but after I donated plasma the first time. Unfortunately I ended up passing out at the restaurant. My husband and daughter said the service during that visit was beyond exceptional. They were very kind and helpful and got our food packed up. My daughter and I went again yesterday and still the food is so good. The Bao is the best I have ever had. I had hot pot there on the first visit and my mouth was getting hit with so many amazing flavors. Best place ever. Thank you
Absolutely LOVE their soup dumplings! All of their food is awesome and they are very kind and friendly.
Real, authentic, and flavorful dumplings! Really, nothing on their menu is bad. Don’t even think about going to Din Tai Fung. This place is 100x’s better, trust me. I usually get their spicy beef noodle soup, but just did the shrimp dumplings in spicy sauce and their crab xiao long bao this time. It is so fresh and their broth is divine. I’m moving away, and wish I could take this place with me. Bonus: they also sell frozen dumplings too!
My family had the egg & shrimp stir fry & it was delicious. Literally melts in your mouth. We also had Crispy fried chicken, beef pancake, pork dumpling(pan fried), & shrimp fried rice. I’ve been to so many Chinese places & this is by far my favorite. Everything was beyond delicious.
Love this welcoming family owned place!! Such a gem in Kent. Very much preferred their soup dumplings vs Din Tai Fung in Bellevue (I said what I said). They also hand-make all of their dumplings at the front of the store, for much better bang for the buck too. Definitely worth a stop!
Authentic mainland style Chinese food! I lived in China for almost two years and haven't been able to find many places like Mama's Dough that actually recreate that same taste. Everything about the experience in the restaurant, including the food, was very much like what I encountered in China. The dumplings actually tasted just like the ones I ate in the mainland, as did the hot sauce. That's been something really hard for me to find here in the U.S.. Other dumpling places I've been to in the U.S. usually had a very different taste. Now, with Mama's Dough, the prices are a bit high, but IMO, absolutely worth it. The staff were really friendly and gave excellent customer service. I'm really happy that I discovered my place!
The Xiao Long Bao taste like they are made with breakfast sausage, and the scallion pancake is limp and dripping in oil. Huge disappointment considering the number of positive reviews.
