I gave the place a fair shake. The lemonade is fantastic, the sevice is very courteous. The food however,... needs A LOT of work. I ordered the menudo which tasted like nothing but boiled meat water with a splash of tomato sauce. I also ordered a pina colada which tasted like thawed pineapple custard. Was completely cut and curdled. I only give them credit for the service.
We always come here for a margaritas and karaoke at night. I've never eaten in the main restaurant but the bar, bartender and karaoke are all fun. The late night food is more expensive than you'd expect bit the guy that bartends is far above average so it kind of evens itself out. Local tip: don't leave valuables in your car, this is a high crime area.
El Charros is more then a resturant,they treat you like family!The food and drinks are the best!I have been going here for years and will not eat at any other Mexican Resturant!
Run away from this restaurant! The food was horrible and we were charged dinner prices for lunch!! Two enchilada combo meals that looked and tasted like day old leftovers. Dry bland rice and flat enchiladas with little filling and no sauce. They included a few chips and salsa but they were also stale. Food did not look freshly made for our order and it was barely warm. Don’t waste your money here, there are other GOOD Mexican restaurants in the area.
We have been visiting El Charro for over 15 years now. The service is excellent and the food is incredible tasty. We love it!
I've been searching for years for a Arroz Con Pollo that was on par with our favorite Mexican restaurant that closed down. El Charro you did it!
Came here on Thursday night and it was not busy at all. Very warm though the lady said the A/C works better in the bar but we had a child with us and could not sit there. I ordered the chicken fajitas and was not that impressed the veggies were burned and I mean like black burned, the chicken was tough and not seasoned well. The tortilla were hard and crunchy like a chip, when you broke the tortilla apart it made a snapping noise like a chip. My child got chicken taquitos and she loves them and had no complaints. For it not be busy the waitress was slow for refills of drinks ( which was surprising since they were not busy) and to bring the check.
I meant to get photos but enjoyed the food as soon as I got it. I had a chicken enchilada and beef tostado combo plate. The food was delicious.
