A really pleasant surprise. I found this trying to find somewhere to eat near my mother’s house, she moved in before COVID so she’s done very little dining out in her new neighborhood. We decided to roll the dice, and were thrilled to find it was really great! As I explained to my (Caucasian) husband, this is a Chinese restaurant for Chinese people. This isn’t someplace to go for general Tso’s chicken. The star of the meal was the Chef Special Chicken - a whole seasoned bone-in chicken cut into portions with juicy succulent meat and lightly seasoned, fragrant spiced skin. It was seasoned, but not aggressively so, so the chicken could really take center stage. We also had gai lan in garlic sauce (same here, perfectly cooked Chinese broccoli that was seasoned but not aggressively so) and pork belly with sliced turnips (also very good).Service was excellent. Prices more than fair for the quality you get.Tip - if you want the special chicken, call ahead that morning and let them know so they make one for you. You can’t order it on the fly (likely because the chicken has to be cooked a long time)
It tastes like a neighborhood restaurants during my childhood in China. Their dishes are tasty but also very oily.Love the chicken! Super juicy and tender! The meat on the bottom is too oily for me though. The sweet and sour fried eggs are really tasty! Also too heavy for me to finish a whole egg since I don’t usually like fried food. The eel rice is amazing! Also oily but very flavorful. And their dishes are huge! In summary, food is very good, and I feel amazed on every first bite, although everything is too oily for me after several bites haha
Definitely the best Chinese cuisine I ever had in Seattle area. Me and my friends tried at least 10 dishes there, and none of them disappoint us. I feel that the flavors of different fresh ingredients are blended by great cooking skills. I would recommend every dishes I had tried, but here are some of them: Stone chicken, sausage rice, Shrimp and Winter Gourd, garlic ribs.
I heard this restaurant on social media, it's very far from Kirkland and it took us more than 40 minutes driving. And it's totally worth. The stone chicken is amazing, very juicy, and I'd like to say it's the best grilled chicken I had in Seattle area. And the crispy fish is also great.
Taishan sweet egg is great, the egg yolk is half cooked and the texture is amazing. Yellow elk rice is tasty, not over flavored. Btw, the small portion is sizable for a group of four to five. Steamed pork belly is chewy but a little bit salty, but perfect when you eat with rice.
I didn't like the way the food was cooked. They got the order wrong and wanted everyone to be vaccinated to dine in, when the place was completely empty.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, and extremely friendly and accommodating staff! The hot and sour soup was AMAZING and the entire meal/experience was wonderful. I’d definitely recommend Circle Chinese to anyone looking for delicious Chinese food in the Seattle area.
If you're reading this, GO EAT AT CIRCLE CHINESE CUISINE! The Hot and Sour Soup was the best I have ever had. Ever. The Salt and Pepper Tofu Appetizer was melt in your mouth, salty goodness with a delicate crispy battered outside topped with a sautéed mixture of garlic, green onions and jalapeños. The loose leaf hot jasmine tea warmed the soul and was served in the cutest tea pot I ever did see. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and sweet and we will, without a doubt, be back for another visit! Thank you Circle Chinese Cuisine!
Absolutely wonderful. We are fairly new to the area and have tried chinese from renton to auburn. This is by far the best we have experienced. The egg flower soup is super, the fried rice is fluffy and flavorful, the entrees we had were fresh and so very tasteful, the staff is pleasant, and the restraurant is so clean. We will stop looking because we have definately found the best!!
This has become our favorite restaurant. Definitely worth the drive from Beacon Hill! They do have american chinese food, but try the traditional menu. The stone roasted chicken is amazing, and the Eel Rice is worth the wait. Do I even need to mention the Taishan style fried eggs with sweet and sour sauce?!!!!
