Cafe Rio used to be my husbands favorite place to order a yummy salad. Their homemade tortilla and really good dressing was amazing. We had Cafe Rio at least 2 to 3 times a month.Unfortunately the last 3 times we have ordered have been disappointing. Their food did not seem fresh. And the order we got last night was absolutely gross but we ate it since we had no food and stuck inside with COVID. The food arrived so cold as if it had been refridgerated. The tortilla was soggy, stiff and mine was ripped amd missing a chunk. The food altogether was soggy. Our salad dressing containers had soggy lettuce in them.We got horrible food poisening from it and been sick to our stomachs since last night. I am greatly saddened and disappointed by our recent experiences here.We mainly always order for delivery.
Tasty, healthy food served fast. Good range of choices. If you're COVID-averse, the patio seating is a safe, comfortable option that's available any time.
This is definitely my go to for lunch in this area. The food is always fresh and delicious. I’ve had the salad, burritos and quesadillas all of which are so good. I usually don’t have enough room left at the end is the salad to eat the tortilla, but I always have to get a couple bits in because these freshly made tortillas are so good. Give it a try and if you like it sign up for the rewards so you get free food, it adds up quickly especially with the 3x deals they offer once in a while

Had a job out of town, decided stop here by suggestion of my barista in Lacey. First off, everything is locally sourced and made in house (unheard of these days) the tortillas were obviously fresh as well as all the veggies. The meat was TO DIE FOR, the chicken & pork were both very juices and flavorful, not salty. I will absolutely be making this a regular place any time I am in the area 10\10 recommend. The price is very reasonable all things considered and the staff was pleasant to deal with. One thing to note is that it is "subway style" where you go down the line so I would put a little foresight in place to get your desired outcome, luckily wasn't busy when I was there for my first time. Will be back as soon as I can!
I always just get the chicken quesadilla, can't go wrong with it. Pretty standard tex-mex. I usually don't get any sides, but my friend got beans and rice and the rice was not all the way cooked, it was still too hard.
My experience there was the WORST!! My rice was cold literally and bean were luck warm was too hard basics cooked to long. Worst customer service EVER I asked the cashier a question he NEVER answered all he did was hump his shoulders that’s proper communication I don’t know what that means like when like told him when a customer is talking to you you’re suppose to talk about not hump your shoulders. I want a refund and I want my food replaced. This happened today around 5/5:30 this evening. I’m more than positive you can find out who was around that time!
2/14/2022Worst experience ever. I placed my families order on Cafe Rio's Website so that it would be ready when my family member arrived. The pickup time on my emailed receipt was 6:50pm PST. When arriving the order was not ready. They said they would prepare it and handed it to my family member who drove it home. At home we discovered that they gave us another customers order I called the number on the receipt that routed me to customer service . I explained the situation and was blind transferred to the Kent location. The male individual who answered said he could not see my order in his system and I explained I had an order number and a receipt. We agreed that he would prepare my order and have it ready within 15 minutes I just would need to show my receipt when I arrived So back to the restaurant in the rain I drove 12 minutes across town. When I arrived I was shocked to see him chatting with his colleagues and the order was not made. He said he could not make it without seeing the receipt first . I said we agreed you would as I gave you my order confirmation number. I then showed my receipt and he said I don't know why we didn't receive this order bur we can't make it because it's not showing up in our computer. I said you told me if I drove back and showed you the receipt you would give me the order that has been charged to my account. He said we didn't charge it so the charge you are seeing you will have to call customer care or your bank to remove we are not going to give you free food. The audacity to state I was asking for a handout I asked him to call his manager he refused I asked him to call customer service he refused. I asked for a number that I could call that was available at that time because it was now going on almost 90 minutes he provided me with a bogus number a catering number. I then told him before leaving the least he could have done since he wasted my time would have been to be courteous as he was extremely rude as if I had done something wrong when it was a computer issue on the restaurants end. I returned to my car found the correct number to call and was told indeed for the past few hours it was a known issue that Website orders weren't all showing up and I should not have had an issue simply showing my receipt. I was placed on hold while customer care said they would tell the restaurant to make my order as it was paid for. Bit of course the call was mysteriously disconnected so I called right back now having to explain the situation to someone new. I said I was told I can't get a refund I can't get the food I ordered all of this now going on for 2 hours for $42.25. What kind of business does this? If I would have been a white male my food would have been made or money refunded. But I am not I am a Black Woman who on 2/14/2022 experienced pure and simple racism at this restaurant and will never return and will do everything in my power share this with all until at the least it is addressed
Worst customer service I have gotten in a very long time. The two that were working were adequate (not stellar), and clearly doing their job. But someone I can only guess as the manager, who was not on shift, brought in her little brother to get free food. She was in the way of the actual people on shift and extremely disruptive. Both were behind the food counter helping themselves to food while the two on shift were trying to make and stock the food. So unprofessional. I will not go back.
This is our go-to Cafe Rio, but today we received terrible service. We ordered two salads on the mobile app and picked up. Got all the way home when we realized both salads were made incorrectly. Decided to drive back and ask for the team to re-make our salads, the manager (a lady) was incredibly rude and did not apologize or even acknowledge what happened. She took the bag from me and walked away without saying a word. She was clearly very annoyed about having yo re-make our order even though she had made the order incorrectly in the first place. When I asked about ordering a side of guacamole she’s coldly said “we’re out” and walked away. Is this the kind of service we can expect to receive at this location? We have never received such terrible service and will not be returning to this location.
