I know prices are high everywhere. But the size of their sides alacarte just aren't worth 5 dollars each. The potato salad and coleslaw are good but the large soggy fries not worth it.Also 299 per rib for about 4 bites not worth the price. Tasty but not affordable.
Out of towner review:Stopped by for lunch. Ordered the No Name Sandwich with two sides (Cole slaw, cornbread muffin). The sandwich was pretty darn good, but it didn’t blow my mind as I hoped, especially for the price paid for the whole meal. The staff was very friendly, sauce selection were good too. Just like the sandwich, again, didn’t blow my mind.I was disappointed that all the main sides (beans, potato salad) contained pork. The prices were pretty steep too. I wished there were more options to choose from, especially being it’s a BBQ joint, as well a little more affordable. Overall, it was a good lunch and I recommend stopping by.
Hands down THE BEST BBQ in WA. Rivals any BBQ in the country. If you're visiting the Seattle area and want BBQ, go to BBQ Pete's. Fun place, if you're from WA you'll get all the nostalgia of being a kid at the Puyallup Fair.Stores are very nice, not large, bench seating mostly, and can fill up quick. Kent location has outdoor deck. All sauces for sale in the store for take home.
So my coworker has gone on and on and on and on about this place. How it's the best BBQ in the area Yada Yada ad infinitum. Then a new Tribune article extolling the awesomeness of BBQ Pete's. So today was the day I bit the bullet, and became a convert. "WOW" from walking in the door and the savory wood smoke smell to the fast service. The sandwich was awsome, the spicy sauce was the right amount of heat vs spice. An the corn bread muffin omg.. I can't wait to eat here again and try the other delights on the menu.
Stopped by on my way to Seattle and ordered two ribs as an afternoon snack. The ribs were above my expectation. Very juicy and tender, with good flavor.Would surely visit again for the ribs and try other meats too.
Yum! It’s hard to find a good BBQ spot in the northwest and this location hits it. We ordered the combination dinner with ribs, pulled pork, brisket, coleslaw, and fries. They happened to be out of chicken at the time. We also ordered the sandwich with no name with fries and the cornbread muffin. Get the cornbread muffin, I promise it’s worth it! Everything was yummy and they have lots of sauces to choose from inside. It’s a lot of food and who doesn’t love leftover bbq!
This would be a decent bbq joint if it were in the south. Here in the PNW where good bbq is few and far between, this place is exceptional! We both ordered a half rack of ribs, and a brisket sandwich. The meats were all tender and full of smoky flavor. The prices were also very reasonable. The free ice cream is also an undeniably nice touch.
Delicious BBQ. I got the prime rib sandwich with the loaded potato salad. The dip and meat are a great combination. The potato salad was delicious, sour cream based with bacon, cheese and chives. They also have free ice cream, seems like the thing to do is to make a root beer. Will definitely be going back.
Our go to BBQ place. Friendly staff. Great food and can we give them a ribbon for their custard machine?! My only hope is that one day they add baked potatoes to their menu. I know they have a loaded potato salad but it's not the same. Also I think they just changed the fries to steak fries and I'm boycotting we want the squared ones back. ;)
Forgot to take photos of our takeout but the meal was all great. We particularly enjoyed the pork and the hot links but the half chicken was good too. Sadly they didn’t include any bbq sauce with our bag so make sure you ask for some. The one thing that I would say they could improve is their brisket. Not as juicy/tender as we have had before. Maybe less fat on it? Overall we would recommend this place. They seem to have won a lot of awards and you can tell the place is popular. Not to mention the moment you walk in the smell is incredible.
