Good Mexican food at a reasonable price. We had steak fajitas, mariscos al mojo de ajo, and queso with chorizo. Since we went for Friday lunch, fajitas are only $9.99. I think this is the lowest I have paid for fajitas in the last decade. The steak was tender without being stringy. The shrimp and mushrooms in the mariscos were flavorful and I really liked that a cup of melted/clarified butter was included. Having butter to put on my ride really elevates the flavors. It's, for some reason, hard to find Mexican places that serve queso, or good queso. Azteca's queso with chorizo was great. Overall, our meal was pleasant, the staff was super nice, and we'll definitely be going back.
Service was slow, meals did not arrive at the same time by 5 minutes. Borittio cold by the time wife's meal arrived, her Fahitias ice cold with a weird flavor.Been eating at Azetca for over 30 years; this was my worst experience for usually excellent staff and delicious food.Kinda sorta a disappointment.
The food was fine, but our waiter brought us the wrong drink and would not credit our bill. His suggestion was that we take the drink we didn't order home so he brought it back in a plastic cup. Still, not the drink we ordered. We pitched it. In addition, the drink we were charged for was more expensive than the one we ordered. NEVER had a problem like this in a restaurant. We are owed a refund!
Great people, good service and the food was delicious ? my first time there and I really like it,
Been going to this location since I was a little kid. Grew up just down the street. Over the years, it's sad to say, it has gone down hill a little bit each year. They finally had done some redecorating but it took a very long time for it to happen. The menu, its hit or miss with each item and each time you go whether it's gonna blow your mind with deliciousness or have some sort of issue (ie. Bland, missing/wrong/too much of something, cold...ect.). Most of the servers are great, friendly, and helpful and have been there for a long time, little staff turnover. Maria, the owner it think, is always smiles and very helpful. My family went to dinner on new years eve and the heater was broken but the food was on point that night.
The service was okay. The coke and root beer got mixed up. The food was tasty and hot.
Buena comida y buen servicio
Cheese enchiladas were slightly overcooked and very small, we also had an order of chicken enchiladas that were small, but better prepared. Great variety of desserts and friendly over the phone service. But, literally looked like and was about the same portion size as a frozen entree.Since we’re all paying top dollar to eat out these days, it would be nice to see a little value for your money spent. Especially when we’re talking cheap ingredients. Paying $15.00+tax+tip = damn near $20.00…..
I've tried the quest dip, and the nachos so far. Both were very good, but the queso really stood out. It was amazing.
Absolutely wonderful food and service! If you like Mexican food you got to try this place!
