0/5 stars for being disorganized and rude. We ordered our food at 5:25 and it didn't arrive until 6:20. We waited 40 minutes and then asked when the food be out. We were told "5 more minutes" every 5 minutes over the next 20 minutes. When I finally asked to speak with someone, the manager refused to even speak to me. No apology, no compensation for wasting our time. I guess they don't care about customer service.
I’ve tried this restaurant a few times. Each time the food has been great (minus the hair we found in our burrito the first time) but the service is horrible. What’s even more upsetting, we were forced to pay gratuity because we had 3 adults and 4 kids in our party. It took forever to get chips once we were seated, about 10 min. Then we ordered drinks, another 10 minutes. Once our food came out we were missing items. It took another 10-15min for missing items to come out. We had to ask for silverware, napkins, drink refills etc. We were patient but never once did the manager or waitress come over and apologize. That day I definitely wouldn’t have left a tip. That’s why I believe they ended up adding gratuity to our bill. They knew they were getting a mandatory tip so they definitely did not show any customer service! I will never go back to that place nor would I recommend it!
It is rare that I leave a non-5-star Review, but this is my experience:It took 20-25 minutes to be greeted at our table...they were busy with only 2 servers in the bar (one was the bartender). It took 45 minutes to get our food (1 dish...enchilada). Pretty sure our chicken enchilada had some shredded pork in it, which would be fine if I weren't allergic to pork...and, one of the servers forgot to check on it, or just wasn't concerned (I think the latter). As a former server myself, I understand getting slammed, as they were very busy, but this is my experience. Server was nice. Chips and salsa were good! The space is cool-looking. A quickie lunch has turned into 2 hours of my time...but, there's only one kind of quickie that I enjoy that takes up 2 hours of my time.
I love the decor it was Day of the Dead and beautiful chandeliers! Cozy bar and I really enjoyed the shrimp avocado cocktail for a light meal. I think they could improve on the margarita glasses to be the kind with the stems. If there is a choice I wasn't offered it. Margarita wasn't very sweet so I ask for some Triple Sec which was accommodated. Easy to hold a conversation music not too loud. Nice service
Shame on the management! Agave used to be a clean, fun and great restaurant, but now the portions are to small for the price. I should not have to watch the staff eating where the food is prepared.The menus had food on it. The restaurant didn't look very clean. I wanted to leave, but my 2 kid's with special needs didn't wanted to leave. They loved their meal when we went in the past. I will never return! What a waste of money.
Everyone is so friendly and has amazing customer service. If you want the best Tortilla Soup, this is the place. I warn you, you will want the bowl. It huge but you want every bite. They do take out. The Tortilla Soup is sent kind of like Pho. Hot broth and then you put all the fixin's when you get home. My husband likes the other food but I honestly go for the Soup. It is like a warm hug in a bowl!
The bacon wrapped jalapeños are, honestly, the best things on the planet.The house margaritas are very tasty, but are a bit small for the price. Definitely better to go during happy hour, as their prices are definitely over inflated. True for everywhere right now, though.I recommend the chicken chimichanga, if you're lucky they'll remember the super awesome picked onions. It's hit or miss for me...
Out of all of the Mexican restaurants, I must say this is by far the best!!! The service was great, timing was perfect, and the food impecable. I'm glad I came here. Happy New Year 2022!
We’ve met there a few of times. We love it. Great salsa. I really like the chili relleno. Their fries are great too. We’ve sat in the bar and outside, always have good service.
Terrible service. The waiter never came to the table once after I ordered. I ordered a Chicken torta and have never had one served to me like this. Definitely not authentic Mexican food. The fries that came with my food were not even cooked all the way. I also ordered a michelada and it came with bloody Mary mix.
