Meals say "Choose ANY side" so of course people want a cup of chowder, but then that's FIVE DOLLARS more for chowder on a meal thats already 25 bucks. It's not fair and is misleading.
So I was in the mood for sea food and after seeing that they have a Monday daily special of all you can eat shrimp we decided to go with Red Lobster. This was my first time eating here since moving to the tri-cities area. To be honest it almost didn't happen, when I walked in there was no one at the counter to seat us. I waited almost 5 minutes at the front desk while seeing a couple of workers go in and out of the kitchen area and laughing and carrying on coming from that area. My fiancée got tired of waiting and went back and looked into the kitchen doorway area and returned about 30 seconds later the "hostess" finally arrived from the back and when my fiancée inquiries what had taken so long to be greeted she informed us it was because they were clearing tables. Now my fiancée didn't call her a liar but she told me that when she stuck her head in that she was one of the people carrying on in the kitchen prep area. Honestly I was about to leave and go to another restaurant. The only saving grace to our visit htonestly was our waitress and of course the food. We each had several servings of the coconut shrimp ( with the Pina Colada sauce ?), garlic shrimp, shrimp skewers and Walt's shrimp. I also had the Tito's strawberry lemonade, great drink by the way. Our waitress took care of all our needs and was very attentive but not hovering over us and kept the shrimp coming in. If I go back, which let's face it I probably will for their shrimp special, it's because of Brittany being such a great waitress.
We sat in the bar and just had the absolute BEST customer service that we have had in a long time!! The food was hot and delicious too!
Lots of choices and cater for non seafood lovers also. Family friendly with a good range of meal plans at reasonable $$. Staff are friendly and attentive. Their Cheese biscuits (sides) are yummy and complimented the meals and chowder.
Pedro the Bartender is Top Top Knotch! 7 years there, rare in the industry to see & its evident based on my Experience while meeting with a dear friend! Very professional, great attitude, personable, not over bearing and obviously genuine. Food consistent as I've grown to appreciate, techniques followed regarding the culinary side were apparent in the end result during the visit. All encountered staff very gracious & kind making atmosphere pleasant & comfortable. Clean on view of areas visited as I saw while there. Staff appear supportive toward each other & appearances tell me something appears to be going right. Thanks for a very happy & fun visit! Delicious food, friendly staff. This is the second time we eat here and we are looking forward to come back again.
We took my father in law for his birthday the server was second to none. The food was on point restaurant was clean. We were promptly seated.
We had the Valentine special. $75~ Small lobster tails, small steak, big bowl of Mac and cheese. Service was sketchy. We were seated at the extreme. The waitress was handling several tables and the kitchen was well over a hundred feet at least. We seldom saw her and could not find her when we wanted to. "Short Staff"The food came all at once on a big platter so it cooled as we ate. Cold steak or cold lobster. Make a decision. The Mac and cheese was great! It stayed hot. Why is that?Still no condiments on the table and one napkin. When you put your napkin in your lap, eat some salad and they take plate away, where do place your utensils? You should not have to ask for a napkin, steak sauce or ketchup. Your waiter/waitress may not be able to get back to you before the meal has cooled down to room temperature.The price was high, the quality of service was on par with Denny's.
This is a 5-star review for Red Lobster staff/manager making right some recent mistakes made on a to-go order. I called several days after we purchased our food and explained what was not correct about the order. The manager was very courteous and offered to refund part of what we paid. The manager obviously did not have to do this, especially after the fact, but he did, and I really appreciated this. The food is always consistently good at Red Lobster, and now I can add exceptional customer service to the great food!
The service was really slow. Probably cause they had a lot of people. We didn't get any bread for 40 minutes and then the waitress tried to charge us an extra 5 dollars on our bill. So be careful and double check your tab. Good food.
