This place has good food. The place was packed and my food came out fast.Watching the staff was like a Jerry Springer show. I sat at the counter and listened and watched the girls go at it. ?. They argued and gave nasty glares at one another. One of the younger girls looked like she just wanted to be somewhere else. She's didn't seem to want to help out the team and just stood there looking at the food she was asked to deliver to a table and said, "it's not up yet". It was sitting right there. Sit at the counter if you want a good show. I enjoyed it. It's not very professional to act like that but times have changed. I'd be getting myself a new server but the new generation has no clue, it's not their fault. So take what you can get.
I was really impressed. it has been years since I last dined there and it wasn't so good then. the remodel was very good for the building and the business. the place was very clean and you can see that even though the kitchen. the floor plan is very open.the food was fantastic "no wannabe" cooks there. every thing was perfect. the waitress was very good, polite, and efficient. if you like a mom and pop feel this is the place.
I use to attend Hill's as a child with my grandmother (80s-90s). I remember them being amazing! Where we sat was always dependant on which coffee cup was at the tables (various unmatching coffee cups was my favorite thing). Sadly, the restaurant had Fox News playing in the dining area, the country gravy was lack luster on a tough country fried steak, waitress had no knowledge of beverages available from the bar, no adult drink menu, salad was mainly lettuce. Arrived about 5:30pm and most daily specials were already sold out. I'm giving 3 stars because drinks were poured heavier (thankfully). I needed it dealing with the ridiculous media playing in my line of sight.
Food was amazing I got the ham and eggs I loved it. Next time I'll pay more attention on were we were asked to sit as I had my kids and there was a naked woman on the wall...... other then that God bless you all in Jesus name
Since there are few places open at 6 a.m., this has become my new favorite breakfast spot. My favorite breakfast is biscuits and gravy, and I am a simple person. There gravy is exactly how I like it, and the entire staff is fantastic. :) I intend to make Hills a regular stop for me.
The food was absolutely amazing plus everyone there were the nicest and great service. I love my servers they did such a great job.
For being very short staffed we had great service. The food was very good, decent portions. Will definitely go back.
Great staff and the food is delicious. Quick seating and friendly staff that get your order out quickly, the biscuits and gravy are very good and it is a hearty portion size.
