I have been working in the industry for 8+ years now and I have never, ever had such good service than when I came here. The server came out with a ear to ear grin and kept it the entirety of our stay. He was fast paced and on top of it. I have been to fine dining resteraunts that didn't match this guy's service at an applebees. Well done, my wife and I will be back and will wait for a table in his section.
It was really busy after the concert. Took a bit to be seated. Our waiter Randy was outstanding. He took very good care of our needs while we were waiting on our food. The drinks and food were very good. I let Randy know it was my sister's birthday and he made sure she was taken care of. This was my first trip to Applebee's and I will go back.
Went to Applebee's for the first time, anywhere EVER. I placed an online order and went inside to pay and pickup. I didn't dine inside and don't think I ever will since I found it dark, dank and not as clean as I'd preferred. I was greeted at the door by a friendly staff member. But the pickup process was not all that smooth. I expected to walk through the door and get rang up quickly and efficiently, that did not happen. The place was not at all busy, a lot of older singles eating alone, so even more I'd expect easy pickup. As for the food...meh. Nothing to impress for a second order. We ordered riblets (had no clue what they were), they were dry and flavorless. The fries that came with it was child sized portions and the coleslaw was dry and pretty awful to be frank. Second plate was steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Steak was good in that it did not have fat on it, the mashed are instant and quite obvious, but the broccoli was good enough. I wished they provided a section where we could leave comments so I could've asked for the steak to be cooked without their seasoning. Third plate was a child's fettuccine which came with bits of chicken which had they had a comments section I could've requested "no chicken bits". Applebee's was a great disappointment. I'm getting the feeling its best to stay home and cook.
Ordered the salmon & our server, Catrina, didn't know they had been out for a week until she put in our orders, so I had to order something else. One thing to be aware of that I noticed other restaurants do too is that I asked if I could substitute soup or a side salad for the fries. Of course I can, but they charge extra for it and still charge the same amount for the meal without the fries! And to top it off, my soup was cold. Our server never came back, so we had to wave down others to get a receipt and to-go box. What a mess...
Manager was super nice and helpful. Sad to say though the steak 8oz. was terrible. All fat, couldn't put a knife through, had to return it. Burgers are great but the steaks egh.
Good food, but the service left me wanting. They seemed understaffed, and the staff present were not very professional. Although we had a large group, we waited well over an hour for a table after being told the wait was only 30 min during a time of day that should not have been overly busy. During our wait, we had to listen to two separate parties swearing, one of which used very loud and crude language directed at the staff over some misunderstanding on a bill. Not a family friendly experience. I hesitate to leave what will be perceived as a negative review, but it is an honest one and perhaps management can work to help other have a better experience. I like Applebees but am not likely to return here again with my children.
My girlfriend and I have a little game going. We've eaten here over a dozen times, and every single time, they've found a creative new way to ruin the experience.Wrong orders, cold orders, bad service, rude service, slow service, weve seen it all. Always something different. It's quite impressive.
Ordered to go ....once I got home realized they had forgotten a side and the steak was cooked completely wrong infact it was so dry like eating leather...food looked so unappealing...I ordered the 8oz steak RARE...with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli...and this is what I got
This is my go-to place because of the variety of the menu. I sometimes just order an appetizer and still take food home. One of my favorites is the Quesadilla Burger with chicken instead of beef. A good alternative to their fries (which are good, too) is their cole slaw.
Was not impressed at all....was hoping it would have been better as this was first time at an Applebee's...the fries weren't even hot..more like warm and weren't even crispy..it was more like they were cold and they just refried them...the onion rings were ok..not the best...I ordered a blue Hawaiian drink..it wasn't that great...not worth $10..... The burger wasn't bad..I did like the pickle...not worth all the hype your commercials claim....I don't think what we ordered was worth the $42....but I still left a tip as no matter what, you leave a tip...don't think I will be back
