Good taste and fresh food. We got Madras bonda(more of an appetizer but tasted fresh and spicy), masala poori, onion ghee podi dosa(the best of all), combo 1(it’s just normal I’d skip if you’re not into Pongal/idly/dosa) Paneer tikka was special on this Saturday and this was the best in taste as well. (Sorry for the half eaten pictures :D)4 star because serving can be a bit more quicker and food arrives in different times so be ready to wait until all your food arrives. Sometimes 10 mins gap between your dosa deliveries. One of the ladies ignored our request which was then handled by another gentleman relatively quickly.
Today the flavors seemed to be different. The ghee podi dosa had a bit less ghee and podi. The rasam was keyed down on spices. We enquired if the chef changed but they didn't. The filter coffee was at its best as always. Not complaining about the food. It still tastes delicious and will recommend visiting it.
Good dosa options at reasonable prices, definitely recommend this place for South Indian cuisine. We tried the Medu Vada in Sambhar, Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa and Cheese Masala Dosa which were all delicious.
This place definitely has the best dosas (authentic and not super oily) I've had in the greater Seattle area - saying this being someone from south India who makes dosa batter at home ?
Great place for dosa and south indian food. Very happy they checked for proof of vaccination at the door. Sambar was really delicious Tamil Nadu style (vs thinner style you might find elsewhere in south India). After living in India for 2 years it’s so nice to have a local spot serving up dosas that are just as good as India. Only downside is that they are about 10x more expensive than India ?
Had the chicken dosa, tastes pretty good, very flavorful. We also had a chickpea curry battura, that was pretty amazing and didn't get the photo though. Highly recommend
This is a clean, nicely lit and busy south indian restaurant. They serve food from the state of Tamilnadu.I went on a Saturday for dinner, there was people waiting ahead of me to get seated. After 20-30 minutes of wait i got seated.I ordered masala dosa, sambar rice, chicken 65 and medu Vada. The masala dosa has the exact Flavour as we get in Chennai, only thing that i missed was the plantain leaf ;). The sambar and coconut chutney was fresh and flavorful.Chicken 65 was crispy on the outside soft and juicy on the inside. It had all the interesting spices and it's not too hot. The medu vada was bit raw so i pointed that to the waiting staff and they canceled that item without much fuss. The prices were nominal and there was plenty of parking.I highly recommend this place I'd you are looking for Authentic south indian food.
Visited this place after hearing from multiple friends. May be my expectation was too high of this place. It was a disappointing experience. We ordered Medu Vada, Thayir Vada, Butter masala dosa, Ghee onion podi masala dosa and filter coffee. Medu vada and Thayir vada was decent. Butter masala dosa did not even have an ounce of butter, I felt it was like a plain dosa with potato subji inside. Same with podi onion dosa. The onions were not diced properly. The only one thing I liked was filter coffee.
The food here is nice though little greasy. We ordered Rava Masala Dosa, Ghee Paper Roast Dosa, Kal dosa and Mysore Masala dosa and Idli Podi. They have Tamilian Style Sambar which is nice. Most of their Dosas are thin and nicely made.
If you are looking for Indian cuisine from souther part of India: this is the place to be !! They have the best Sambhar in Seattle. I go there once a week (without a miss) for breakfast. Love it !!
