Friend treated me to breakfast, and it was lovely. Service was attentive and coffee was quite good. I appreciated the option of flavored creamer. I had French toast with strawberry rhubarb and a side of sausage patties. Needed a to go box. My friend had a vegetarian scramble she said was very good. Prices were reasonable. Would recommend this cafe.
Recommendation: Make an appointment via Google before you arrive. There is always a waiting time.We love exploring breakfast places and this one was on our list for a long time due to high rating and location. We had a very high expectations from this place but it turned out to be just another breakfast place. However we have had better Egg Benedict at other places. They could improve freshness of food item.I recommend that you visit this place at least once and see for yourself.
Try their coconut cream pie, whipped meringue egg whites not too sweet, over whipped egg pastry cream, sprinkled with coconut flakes, on flaky thin layers of crust. Snapshots don’t do it justice.
The folks who work here couldn’t be nicer or more efficient. The vibe is welcoming and neighborly. Lots of choose from on the menu. Spotlessly clean too. But the quality of the food preparation has something to be desired. I ordered the Fish and Chips. The 3 pieces of cod were crispy, not greasy but lacking in flavor. The fries were the crinkle cut type and were absolutely flavorless and pale. I am not a big salt user but I found myself reaching for it several times. On the upside, the iced tea was strong and refills were frequent. My friend had the prime rib sandwich. She said it didn’t have much flavor either.
This is our go-to breakfast place, where we go every Saturday (and for a reason). The service and food is consistently excellent and the ambiance is cozy and inviting - it feels like a quant fishing cabin. It really has a down-home type of feeling and we've gotten to know most of the staff by now. Everyone who works there is wonderful and they go out of their way to remember the regulars, which is incredibly sweet and thoughtful. A special shout-out to the Saturday team: Angie is an absolute star at the front desk (always incredibly upbeat, kind and professional even with 1,000 people asking for a table), and the servers are the best we've ever had the pleasure to interact with in our experiences eating out (Joni, Rochelle, Daniel, Nick, Andrew, Greta, and honestly everyone else.) Thanks, and see you next week! :D
This is our go-to breakfast place, we go every weekend. Everything on the menu is fantastic, but my particular favorites are the pumpkin pancakes and the lemon blueberry pancakes. It's not something you see often and they're both so yummy. Friendly wait staff, great service, never had a problem in all the years we've been going. Highly recommended!
Really tasty breakfast! I had the huevos rancheros...ranchero sauce was on point; I ordered a side of their fresh made hollandaise to pour over my hasbrowns and it was DIVINE. Highly recommend
There's a reason you have to stand in line for breakfast -- the food is excellent and the service congenial and flawless.
Yummy!! We had the corned beef hash with a blueberry lemon pancake and the hobo scramble. The hash had chunks of brisket that melted in my mouth. The hobo scramble was full of flavor without being spicy.I tried the blubbery lemon pancake. It was just the right amount of zest to complement the sweet blueberries. I took a photo of the blueberries going all the way through. Very nice.I got a hot cocoa. I would highly recommend anyone who loves hot cocoa to get this. It was fantastic! They put baby M&Ms on it. Great for children as well.Great place!! You should give it a try.
This review is based mostly on service…. Daniel had the nicest way about him! I will come back to have him as my server! Ordered a Cobb salad ( no bacon) and it was decent. Place has a clean, down to earth vibe. Reminds me of an east coast diner. Shocking that I have not been here before. Will be back and will look for Daniel with his charming efficient way!
