Charming small business in front street. A bit pricey, but everything is going up in price these days. I got “The Plant.” Overall it was a good sandwich. I would have liked to have a more even flavor throughout. The cheese was concentrated on the outer edge. Marinara sauce wasn’t evenly distributed and I wouldn’t mind a like bit more sauce. The fried eggplant was consistent throughout!
Prices have gone up, which is expected in these times of inflation. 20 bucks will get you a thin sandwich and fries. The sad news is that they are cutting back on the amount of pastrami in your sandwich. For the first time ever, my Reuben sandwich had more sauer kraut than pastrami and on top of that, they burnt the pastrami.Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
Quite expensive- Two sandwiches, a side of fries, and two cans of Coke for $40. The quality of the meat, cheese, and other ingredients are one reason. High quality food is expensive. This is definitely high quality food that tastes really good! The side of fries was large enough for three people- very good fries, crispy outside and chewy inside, but the portion is just too big. I love this place but I severely limit how often I come because of the price. The prices largely reflect the portions and the food quality. Large portions, high quality: good for my cravings, bad for my waist and wallet.
Opened 30 minutes late, ordered a beef sandwich that was way over priced and dry. Hot dog was big and good although missing the pickle spear. All in all they were over priced and I would rather have a dog from matts in Seattle. Won't make the trip again
Amazing sandwiches, decor and service. A must go!
Chicago pastrami shop has been clean . The food is good size. I always take half home. Flavors are great. Many choices. There is even a vegetarian option..Very polite. I've been here many times and really enjoyed it. Popular place.
Delicious food in a beautiful area!
The food is amazing. Although pastrami is definitely on the menu, you'll quickly discover that you'll be getting much more of a selection than that. The Armenian sandwiches, homemade baklava and kabab plate are wonderful; top it off with Turkish coffee --just tantalizing! Generous portions. Great service, family-owned. Once you've had a meal, you'll be going back for more.
Honestly the food is incredible but the wait times are really too long. The only thing that keeps me from giving them 5 stars is that I've never waited less than 15 minutes for food there, which is insane considering it's a deli. That said I have waited and will continue to wait the 15+minutes to eat their delicious sandwiches
This place is perfect the owner is a true Arminian all authentic Chicago/ Arminian food the best in town
